Class 4A Cross Country Region Rankings 2026: All Four FHSAA Regions, Girls and Boys

calendar_today November 8, 2026 schedule 33 min read

Class 4A region rankings for all four regions, girls and boys: every district qualifier, who we expect to win, and who makes the state meet. Sides over Olson, Muller's 16:50.8, Kiper and Braddock.

FHSAA Class 4A cross country regional meets, November 11-14, 2026

The fastest times of district week came in 4A. Madison Muller of Riverview (Sarasota) won 4A District 6 in 16:50.8, the fastest girls time at any of the 32 district meets. Andrew Sides of Buchholz won 4A District 1 in 15:11.5, the fastest boys time, less than two seconds ahead of Niceville's Bryant Olson.

Jaxon Kiper of Strawberry Crest won 4A District 5 in 15:28.2, and Natalia Gaona-Zelaya of Wiregrass Ranch won the girls race there. In 4A District 8, Braddock beat Columbus and Doral Academy for the boys title, 36 to 42 to 50, and that order carries into Region 4.

Region 3 runs first, on Wednesday, November 11, at the Ed Radice Sports Complex in Tampa.

All eight Class 4A districts are in. The top eight teams in each district and the top four runners not on one of those teams moved on, and two districts meet at each of the four regionals. The same rule applies again: the top eight teams in each region and the top four individuals not on those teams go to the state meet, Friday, November 20, at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.

Each region below lists every qualifier with its district finish, then our team and individual rankings for the regional. Inside a district, last week's result stands. Across the two districts, our latest rankings, head-to-head results and season bests decide it.

About the times: every time listed is the best that runner actually ran this fall, and where. Courses run fast or slow, so the order comes from putting every race on the same scale, then our rankings and head-to-head results. When a slower time sits above a faster one, the note under that table says why.

How we did it

  • Qualifiers come from the district results in our database: the first eight teams in each district plus the top four finishers not on one of those teams (FHSAA policy 4.5.2.2.4, as printed on the district and region meet sheets). FHSAA's own qualifier list was not posted yet when we published, and the Pine Crest regional's unofficial individual list matches ours.
  • Region assignments and sites are FHSAA's: two districts feed each region, from the 2026-27 classification pages (re-checked November 8) and the FHSAA region sites page.
  • Each region is run as one race with only the runners who finished their district for a qualifying team, plus the individual qualifiers. Every runner keeps their best race this fall, put on one scale using the runners who raced on both courses.
  • Head-to-head results since September decide pairs, the most recent meeting standing, so last week's district finish holds inside each district. A district meeting does not count when both runners were well off their bests (a team running together) or when the loser was a minute further off than the winner.
  • Runners and teams on our latest statewide and class lists keep that order unless they lost to each other since. Teams count a head-to-head only when both had at least four of their top five there.
  • Roy Griak is left out. Only 2026 races count.

Every district result is in the Florida XC results database, and you can build any race yourself in the simulator.
