Did not race. Won West Orange on September 26 in 15:23.9, his fourth win in five starts, and ran 15:05.9 at Hawks on the Hill on September 19, ahead of Thompson. Third statewide.

Did not race. Won West Orange in 15:23.9 a week earlier, his fourth win in five starts, and his 15:05.9 at Hawks on the Hill on September 19 is still the best run on his card. He beat Thompson there, which is why he sits above him.

Won the West Orange Invitational on Saturday in 15:23.9 out of 176. Won Hawks on the Hill on September 19 in 15:05.9, 23 seconds ahead of Thompson. Four wins in five starts, and the wins are not held against him. First.

Won West Orange in 15:23.9 out of 174, 26.6 seconds ahead of Maleik Lewis of Horizon: four wins in five starts, after Whispering Pines, Astronaut and Hawks on the Hill. The West Orange course ran fast on Saturday, so as a win it does not count against him, and his 15:05.9 at Hawks still ranks him. He beat Thompson there, and Thompson beat Olson and Michalak at Cecil Field, which carries Sallault above both of them although both finished ahead of him in August.

Won Hawks on the Hill in 15:05.9 out of 152, 23 seconds ahead of Thompson, on a course that reads about seven seconds fast, so the run is worth about 15:13 at Cecil Field. His third win in four starts, after Whispering Pines in 15:47.0 and Astronaut in 15:57.0, neither held against him; he was eighth at Cecil Field in 15:47.0 on opening night, behind Thompson and Olson among others. Beating Thompson on Saturday puts him above both, because Thompson beat Olson in August and the newer chain outranks the older direct result. Fourth to first, and last November's 4A runner-up is now the boy to beat in the class.

Won Hawks on the Hill in 15:05.9 out of 152, 23 seconds ahead of Thompson, on a course that reads about seven seconds fast. It is the fastest time run on a Florida course this season by anyone outside IMG Academy, and his third win in four starts: Whispering Pines in 15:47.0, Astronaut in 15:57.0, now this. He was eighth at Cecil Field in 15:47.0 on opening night. Thompson beat Howdeshell, Olson and Michalak there and has not lost to any of them since, so Sallault's win over Thompson carries him above all of them.

Won the Astronaut Invitational out of 230 in 15:57.0, 24 seconds ahead of Liam Ilea of Tavares 3A. Astronaut reads about 30 seconds slow, so the run is worth about 15:27, the best of his three races: 15:47.0 at Cecil, 15:47.0 to win Whispering Pines, 15:57.0 on Saturday. The 4A runner-up last November is fourth only on the Cecil Field finish, behind the two boys who beat him there, and the next time he shares a line with either of them, the grass decides it.

Won the Astronaut Invitational out of 230 in 15:57.0, 24 seconds ahead of Liam Ilea, on a course that reads about 30 seconds slow, so the run is worth about 15:27 at Cecil, the best of his three races. 15:47.0 for eighth at Cecil Field, 15:47.0 to win Whispering Pines, 15:57.0 to win Astronaut. Three races, two wins, and the runner-up in 4A last November has the second-best body of work in the class. He is behind Olson and Thompson on the Cecil finish and nothing else. Seventh to eighth.

15:47.0 at Cecil Field and 15:47.0 to win Whispering Pines eight days later, the same time to the tenth on two courses. Add the 15:27.5 he ran at state, the fastest returning time in the class, and the body of work is still the best in 4A after Kiper's one race. He has not run in two weeks and East Ridge was not at the Horse Park. Olson beat him the one time they met, and that is the whole gap between second and third.

Did not race, and holds on the two races he has: 15:47.0 at Cecil Field and 15:47.0 to win Whispering Pines eight days later, the same time to the tenth on two courses. Add the 15:27.5 he ran at state, the second-fastest returning time in Florida, and the body of work is still one of the best in the state. Olson beat him at Cecil and has run twice since; that is the whole difference between sixth and eighth. East Ridge was not at the Horse Park. He has not raced anybody ahead of him yet.

The most persuasive week two anybody in Florida had. Sallault ran 15:47.0 at Cecil on August 21, then won the Whispering Pines Invitational on August 29 in 15:47.0. The same time, to the tenth, on two courses eight days apart, and the second one came with a win over a real field. The Whispering Pines run prices out around 15:33, and his 15:27.5 from state is still the fastest returning mark in the class.

He was seventh here a week ago, which in hindsight was the list being slow, not Sallault. A win, a repeat performance and the best November credential in 4A is a hard combination to keep down.

The most quietly persuasive week two anybody had. Sallault ran 15:47.0 at Cecil Field for eighth on August 21. On August 29 he won the Whispering Pines Invitational out of 174 varsity runners in 15:47.0. The same time, to the tenth, on two different courses eight days apart.

Whispering Pines grades roughly fourteen seconds slow, which prices the second run at 15:32.8 and moves him past Seth. Take the course at its median (+4.1) instead and the second run is worth 15:42.9 and he sits eleventh. We are ranking him sixth on the combination of a win in a real field, a repeat performance, and the 15:27.5 he ran at state — the second-fastest returning time by any boy in Florida, and better than anything on this list outside Belen Jesuit. He is the runner whose ranking depends least on which offset you believe.

The most accomplished runner in this class and the hardest ranking on the list. Sallault was second in 4A at state in 15:27.5, the fastest returning mark in the class by 33 seconds. He opened with 15:47 for eighth in the Cecil Elite race, which is 19.5 seconds slower than his state time in a month when the boys' field ran even.

That is a genuinely below-par opener, and it happened in the same race as Thompson, Chopra and Olson, all of whom beat him. There is no tactical explanation to lean on and no conversion to argue about — six runners in this list ran the same course on the same evening and four of them finished ahead of him. He stays seventh on that basis. He is also the only 4A boy who has run 15:27 for five kilometers in November, and if he runs that again nobody above him has an answer. Treat this ranking as a report on August, not a forecast for November.

Sallault owns the second-fastest returning state time in Florida at 15:27.5 and gets the benefit of the doubt for one flat August evening. He ran 15:47 at Cecil for eighth, nineteen seconds off his own state mark, in a race where several of the top returners obviously treated the date as what it was. The November version of Sallault ranks higher than this.
