Ranking writeups

#5 — 4A Girls Week 1

The largest defensible improvement in the class. Eudaly was 13th in 4A at state in 18:57.4 and won the Jim Ryun Invitational out of a 204-runner field by 44 seconds in 19:00.9. Jim Ryun graded 47.1 seconds slow against Cecil off 30 runners, the best-supported conversion outside Cecil itself, which prices her at 18:13.8 Cecil-equivalent — roughly 17:45 in November terms.

That is a 72-second projection forward and it is entirely a conversion argument, since the race itself gave her nobody to run with. The offset is solid enough that this ranking holds. It is still the mark on this list most likely to look wrong in October, in either direction.

#6 — Overall Girls Week 1

The Holloway Park adjustment does for Eudaly what it did for Jaxon Kiper. She won the Jim Ryun Invitational in 19:00.9, which reads like a good-not-great time until you apply the 46.7-second correction and land at roughly 18:14 Cecil-equivalent. That would have been fourth-fastest in the state on the weekend. She was 13th in 4A at state in 18:57.4 and our 22nd-ranked returner. This is a considerably better runner than that.
