Class 1A Cross Country Region Rankings 2026: All Four FHSAA Regions, Girls and Boys

calendar_today November 8, 2026 schedule 35 min read

Class 1A region rankings for all four regions, girls and boys: every district qualifier, who we expect to win, and who makes the state meet. Cunningham, Roy over Wilkinson, and a Holy Trinity sweep.

FHSAA Class 1A cross country regional meets, November 11-14, 2026

Sean Cunningham of Providence won 1A District 2 at Cecil Field in 15:34.0 and heads to Region 1 as the pick. Charlotte Roy of All Saints' beat Emma Wilkinson of Lakeland Christian at 1A District 5, 18:17.8 to 18:56.9, and that result moves Roy ahead of Wilkinson in Region 3 even though Wilkinson sat higher on our last 1A list.

Holy Trinity swept both team titles in 1A District 4, 38 points for the boys and 23 for the girls, and Taylor Geraghty won the girls race. Mary Summers of Seven Rivers Christian won 1A District 3 in 19:39.4 and goes on as an individual. In the south, Elijah Arterburn of Atlantic Christian and Lucian Burns of Marathon won the two districts that meet in Region 4.

All eight Class 1A districts are in. The top eight teams in each district and the top four runners not on one of those teams moved on, and two districts meet at each of the four regionals. The same rule applies again: the top eight teams in each region and the top four individuals not on those teams go to the state meet, Friday, November 20, at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.

Each region below lists every qualifier with its district finish, then our team and individual rankings for the regional. Inside a district, last week's result stands. Across the two districts, our latest rankings, head-to-head results and season bests decide it.

About the times: every time listed is the best that runner actually ran this fall, and where. Courses run fast or slow, so the order comes from putting every race on the same scale, then our rankings and head-to-head results. When a slower time sits above a faster one, the note under that table says why.

How we did it

  • Qualifiers come from the district results in our database: the first eight teams in each district plus the top four finishers not on one of those teams (FHSAA policy 4.5.2.2.4, as printed on the district and region meet sheets). FHSAA's own qualifier list was not posted yet when we published, and the Pine Crest regional's unofficial individual list matches ours.
  • Region assignments and sites are FHSAA's: two districts feed each region, from the 2026-27 classification pages (re-checked November 8) and the FHSAA region sites page.
  • Each region is run as one race with only the runners who finished their district for a qualifying team, plus the individual qualifiers. Every runner keeps their best race this fall, put on one scale using the runners who raced on both courses.
  • Head-to-head results since September decide pairs, the most recent meeting standing, so last week's district finish holds inside each district. A district meeting does not count when both runners were well off their bests (a team running together) or when the loser was a minute further off than the winner.
  • Runners and teams on our latest statewide and class lists keep that order unless they lost to each other since. Teams count a head-to-head only when both had at least four of their top five there.
  • Roy Griak is left out. Only 2026 races count.

Every district result is in the Florida XC results database, and you can build any race yourself in the simulator.
