Did not race. Won the Daphne Invitational in Alabama on September 19 in 15:42.0 out of 217, sixth at the Gulf Coast Stampede in 16:35.0, 27th at the Horse Park in 16:28.4 behind Barton and Kline. Four races, and he is almost two minutes faster on the clock than in his first one. Tenth.

Won the Daphne Invitational at Historic Blakeley State Park in Alabama on Saturday in 15:42.0, first of 217, two seconds ahead of Owen Tucker of Gulf Breeze 3A, who had beaten him at the Gulf Coast Stampede a week earlier, and eleven ahead of Frederick Gunther of Pensacola Catholic 2A. His first win of the year and his fastest time by 46 seconds. Blakeley reads about a minute fast for boys on a sample whose readings disagree, so the run levels to about 16:46, and a race a runner won never lowers his figure. Sixth at the Stampede in 16:35.0 out of 258. Twenty-seventh at the Horse Park in 16:28.4, four places behind Kline and six behind Barton, and both of those results stand. Tenth for a second week, and the front man for the team that is first on the 1A team list.

Three races, each better than the last. New to the ten at tenth, seven seconds behind Kirwan on the season.

Sixteenth in 1A at state in 16:37.6, and the number one man on the team that projects first in Class 1A — Pensacola Christian's returning five average 17:20.9 inside a 1:15.8 spread, the tightest projected group in the class by a wide margin. None of them raced.

Manderson is the runner on this list whose ranking is most likely to move in either direction, because the team around him is good enough that he will get a real race every week once they start entering meets.
