We put all 65 entered schools and clubs into our Race Simulator and scored the varsity and middle school races at the 22nd North Port XC Invitational. George Steinbrenner, St. Cloud and Fort Myers finish inside six points in the boys' race, and Fort Myers wins it on best times. Luis Rivera, Antonino Pipia and Reed Hagen are three seconds apart up front. Sarasota's girls hold off Plant and Berkeley Prep on either clock, and a seventh grader is fourth in the field.
North Port XC Invitational, 22nd annual, hosted by North Port High School. North Port High School, Saturday, September 19, 2026. Elite, Large School and Small School varsity races, a JV race and middle school races, all on one day. Sixty-one boys' entries and sixty-two girls' entries from 65 schools and clubs.
This is the biggest meet on the Gulf coast between Tampa Bay and Naples before the district round, and the entry list reaches from Zephyrhills and Wesley Chapel down to Marco Island and Everglades City, with St. Cloud making the drive across from Osceola County. We took every entered team, dropped them into our Race Simulator, and scored four races: high school boys, high school girls, middle school boys and middle school girls. Every runner is entered on the best thing he or she has run in 2026, leveled to a common course. Five score, sixth and seventh displace. Below are the top tens, teams and individuals, for each race. The full standings, every team and every runner, are one click away.
One thing to know before the numbers. North Port splits its Saturday varsity fields into an Elite race, a Large School race and a Small School race, and the meet director places the teams. The entry list does not say who is in which, so we ran every varsity team in one race per gender. When the division lists are posted, the simulator page lets you pull teams out one at a time and rescore.
The short version. George Steinbrenner 4A, St. Cloud 4A and Fort Myers 3A finish inside six points in the boys' race, and the order depends entirely on which clock you use: leveled, Steinbrenner by four; on best times, Fort Myers by five. Luis Rivera, Antonino Pipia and Reed Hagen are three seconds apart at the front once their courses are leveled. Sarasota 4A wins the girls' race on either clock, by eleven over Plant 4A leveled and by 25 over Berkeley Prep 2A on best times, and Plant's Katherine Eudaly is the girl to beat. In the middle school races, the WIND Runners club and Hardee Junior High take the boys' and girls' titles, and a seventh grader is the fastest girl on the entry list twice, once for her club and once for her school.

The last column is what that time is worth on the reference course, Cecil Field for the high school races, and that is the number the scoring uses. A dagger means the course has no rating yet and the raw time stands in. A team needs five runners with a 2026 mark to score; the teams that do not have five are listed after each race. The simulator does not project, so nobody is entered on last November. One course matters more than any other here: a lot of this field ran the North Port Preserve Pursuit on August 29, and our ratings say that course ran fast, for boys especially. Runners whose best time came there give some of it back once everything is leveled, and that is the main reason the Sarasota County schools sit lower on the leveled standings than on the raw ones.
Boys: three teams inside six, and the toggle picks the winner
George Steinbrenner 4A scores 99, placing 7-12-18-27-35 on a 1:21 spread, and every one of those five marks comes from the Jim Ryun Invitational on opening weekend. That is the whole story of their win. Jim Ryun is one of the slowest courses in our sample, so every Steinbrenner time gets a big lift when it is leveled. Jack Bronder (Sr.) ran 16:41.3 there, worth 15:58.7 and seventh in this field. Oliver Day (So.) 17:12.7, London Paladino (Sr.) 17:35.2, Luke Bronder (Jr.) 17:57.2 and Max Tschopp (So.) 17:25.3 at West Hillsborough close it out, with Punya Desai (Jr.) a few seconds behind Tschopp as the sixth. Bronder and Paladino both ran faster raw times at the Horse Park two weeks later, and the simulator still prefers their Jim Ryun runs. Score this race on best times and Steinbrenner is third at 165.
St. Cloud 4A is second at 103, and their case is one runner and a pack. Luis Rivera (Sr.) ran 15:43.5 to win his own meet on September 5, the fastest raw time in this field and worth 15:32.8 leveled, and he wins this race on either clock. He is sixth in our 4A boys top ten. Behind him Koda Harkema (Jr.) 17:00.7 and Brody Ansbaugh (Sr.) 17:10.4, both from the St. Cloud Invitational, are 16th and 23rd, and Carson Devlin (Sr.) and Marcos Quinones (Jr.) close the five on Jim Ryun marks. The 1:55 spread is the widest of the top three. St. Cloud is ninth in our 4A team rankings and has made the longest trip on the entry list.
Fort Myers 3A is third at 105, six points back, and wins the race outright on best times, 130 to St. Cloud's 135. Reed Hagen (So.) is third in the field. His fastest raw time is the 16:19.0 he ran at Cecil Field, but the simulator scores him on his 16:26.6 from the Fort Myers Invite on September 12, because that course rated slow and the run is worth 15:35.7. He is fourth in our 3A boys top ten. Noah Lefko, a freshman, is eighth on the same arithmetic, 17:09.6 at Fort Myers worth 16:18.7, and Trae Britton (Jr.) is ninth on his 16:20.0 from Cecil. Three in the first nine, then a gap of more than a minute to Elijah Brown (So.) and Ben Moss (So.) at 38th and 47th. That gap is the difference between first and third. Fort Myers is fourth in our 3A team rankings and won the Estero 3D simulation two weeks ago by 41. This one is closer.
The front three: Rivera 15:32.8, Antonino Pipia (Jr., Plant 4A) 15:34.9 and Hagen 15:35.7, three seconds between them leveled. Pipia ran 16:17.5 at Jim Ryun and has not run faster anywhere else, so his place rests on the same rating that carries Steinbrenner. Dylan Macias-Buenrostro (Jr., Mariner 3A) is fourth on his 16:35.3 from the Fort Myers Invite, worth 15:44.4; he is fifth in our 3A top ten, one place behind Hagen, who beat him at Fort Myers. Skylar Manatt (Sr., Cypress Creek 3A) is fifth on 16:06.7 from Whispering Pines, the second-fastest raw time on the list, and Jeb Bremerman (So., Naples 3A) sixth on 16:44.3 from Fort Myers, worth 15:53.4. Bremerman is seventh in our 3A top ten.
River Ridge 3A is fourth at 193 with all seven runners entered on Whispering Pines: Andrew McKay (Sr.) 16:37.9 is tenth in the field and Daniel Williams (Sr.) 16:55.0 is 14th, with Gavin Hurtado (Jr.) 30th. Cape Coral 4A (229) and Naples 3A (230) are one point apart for fifth. Cape Coral has the tighter five, 1:26 from Ruben Viera De Lemos (Sr.) at 22nd to Michael Jendrusiak at 83rd, and three Jendrusiaks in the scoring five, Hunter, Chase and Michael, all sophomores. Naples has Bremerman up front and a 2:41 spread behind him; on best times Naples is tenth. Calvary Christian 2A, fourth in our 2A team rankings, is seventh at 258 with Luke LaHaye (Jr.) 19th on 16:53.0 from Cecil and Maximus Brown (Sr.) 26th. Calvary is fourth on best times, because most of their marks are from Cecil and do not move. Plant 4A is eighth at 265 on Pipia, Jack Christy (Sr.) at 28th, and a 2:50 spread; on best times Plant is 16th. Cypress Creek 3A (273) and Berkeley Prep 2A (293) close the ten. Berkeley's Cole Galuski (Jr.) is 21st on 16:49.9 at the Horse Park.
A few more runners worth knowing. Eli Domico (So., Indian Rocks Christian 1A) ran 16:11.2 at the IMGA Summit Challenge, the third-fastest raw time in the field, but that course rates fast and his run is worth 16:34.6, 13th. Jackson Winkler (Jr., Charlotte 3A) is 15th, entered on 17:35.1 from the Fort Myers Invite rather than the 16:52.8 he ran at the Preserve Pursuit; Charlotte is 26th as a team. Micah Oliver (So., Kirkland Ranch) is 11th on 17:12.2 from Jim Ryun, worth 16:29.6, and Kirkland Ranch is a school our database does not yet carry a class for. Derek Cook (Sr., Wharton 4A) is 20th, and Wharton is 12th as a team.
The Sarasota County teams and the toggle. Venice 4A is seventh on best times at 268 and 14th leveled at 470, and that is the Preserve Pursuit rating at work: all five of Venice's best raw times came there, Nolan Heaney (Sr.) 16:49.9 among them, and the simulator scores each of them on a slower run from Lemon Bay or Wellen Park instead. Lemon Bay 3A goes from 13th to 21st the same way, on a scoring five inside 64 seconds. The host, North Port 4A, is 38th of 48 scoring teams; Sebastian Velazquez-Rodriguez (Sr.) is their front runner, 51st in the field on 17:23.9 from Wellen Park. Sarasota's boys are 35th.
Not scoreable: Booker 3A, Everglades City 1A, Lehigh 4A and Lely 3A each have four boys with a 2026 mark; Palmetto 4A and St. Johns Academy have three; Marco Island Academy 1A and South Fort Myers 3A have two. Every entered boys' program has at least one 2026 result in our database.

Sarasota 4A scores 154, placing 6-12-19-47-70 on a 2:16 spread, and does it without a single runner in the first five. Annabella Cicilioni (Jr.) ran 19:15.7 at the Preserve Pursuit, the fourth-fastest raw time on the entry list, but the simulator enters her on her 19:55.8 from Wellen Park, worth 19:43.2 and seventh. Marley Bowen (Jr.) 19:27.1 from the Preserve Pursuit is worth 20:01.2, 13th, and Jasmine France (Sr.) 20:33.0 from Wellen Park is 21st. Annabella Alger (Jr.) and Isabella Mendenhall (Jr.) close the five at 49th and 72nd. On best times Sarasota's margin is 25 points; leveled, it is eleven. Either way they are first, and they are tenth in our 4A girls team rankings.
Plant 4A is second at 165 and is built the opposite way: two up front, then a gap. Katherine Eudaly (Jr.) is first in the field on her 19:00.9 from Jim Ryun, worth 18:15.6, and her 18:40.3 at West Hillsborough is the second-fastest raw time anyone here has run. She is fourth in our 4A girls top ten and fifth in the state. Rylee Nelson (Sr.) is fifth on 20:15.7 from Jim Ryun, worth 19:30.4. Then it is Agniia Davydova, a freshman, at 48th, Jada Ordway (So.) at 50th and Adabella Lowney (Sr.) at 68th, a 3:35 spread. Plant's third runner is what stands between them and Sarasota.
Berkeley Prep 2A is third at 177 and second on best times at 140, because its three front runners all ran Whispering Pines, which rated fast for girls this year. Lily Ghavami (Jr.) 19:34.0 is worth 19:54.1 and ninth; she is ninth in our 2A girls top ten. Molly Taylor (Jr.) 19:51.2 and Alex Louie (Jr.) 20:01.5 are 17th and 23rd. Evelyn Liever, an eighth grader, and Spencer Mischen (Sr.) close the five on Horse Park marks. Berkeley is fifth in our 2A team rankings.
Community School of Naples 1A is fourth at 212, seventh on best times, and its front runner is a seventh grader. Emily Del Mazo-Collado ran 20:08.7 at the Cape Coral Seahawk Invite, worth 19:30.3 and fourth in the field, one tenth ahead of Nelson. Anna Kate Casto (Jr.) is 27th on 21:23.2 from the Fort Myers Invite, and Rose O'Malley (Sr.), Bri Gladstein (another seventh grader) and freshman Lilly Stanosheck close the five. CSN is fifth in our 1A girls team rankings.
Aubrey Rogers 3A and Fort Myers 3A tie at 222 for fifth, and the tie goes to Aubrey Rogers on the sixth runner. Aubrey Rogers' five are inside 21 seconds of each other, 40th through 55th, three sophomores from the Cape Coral race, Brooks Lyons, Caroline Weidenmiller and Ella Sindledecker, plus freshman Eva Atanasov and Bowie Russell (Jr.). Nobody in the front and nobody far back. That pack won the Estero 3D simulation. Fort Myers is the same shape, five inside 38 seconds from Gianna Lemons (Jr.) at 34th to Maegan Adkins (So.) at 60th. These two have raced each other at Cape Coral and Estero already this year and will again in November. St. Petersburg 3A and Estero 3A tie at 269 behind them, St. Petersburg ahead on the sixth. St. Petersburg's Isla Trunk (So.) is 24th on 20:53.8 from the Ragin' Storm, and their entire scoring five is entered on that August 22 race. Estero's Gianna Gyurich (Sr.) is 15th on 20:45.6 from Cape Coral and freshman Hailey Reinike 29th.
Lakewood Ranch 4A is ninth at 283 and fourth on best times at 252. Addison Shear (Sr.) and Mackenzie Walker (Sr.) both ran their fastest times at the Preserve Pursuit, 20:16.7 and 20:26.7, and the simulator scores them on their Seffner Christian runs instead, 28th and 31st. Cypress Creek 3A is tenth at 331 with Emma Poekert (Jr.) third in the field, 19:45.3 at Jim Ryun worth 19:00.0, and a 5:07 spread behind her. Poekert's 18:48.2 at Land O' Lakes is the third-fastest raw time on the list. Just outside the ten, Indian Rocks Christian 1A is 11th with Alexandra Middleton (Jr.) tenth in the field on 20:29.0 from Seffner, worth 19:54.2; she is ninth in our 1A top ten.
The individual race. Eudaly wins it leveled at 18:15.6. On best times the winner is Lydia Vincent (Sr., Zephyrhills 3A), whose 18:34.1 at Whispering Pines is the fastest raw time in the field; leveled it is worth 18:54.2 and second, because Whispering Pines rated fast. Vincent is fifth in our 3A girls top ten, and Zephyrhills has one girl with a 2026 mark, so she scores for nobody. Poekert is third, Del Mazo-Collado fourth, Nelson fifth. Clara Thiessen (Sr., Canterbury 1A) is sixth on 20:15.7 from Estero, worth 19:37.5, and Canterbury is 19th as a team. Cicilioni is seventh, Aurelia Sciandra (Sr., North Fort Myers 3A) eighth on 20:24.4 from Cape Coral, Ghavami ninth, Middleton tenth. Gabriella Vazquez, a Dunbar 3A freshman, is 11th on 20:43.5 from Jim Ryun, worth 19:58.2.
The host. North Port 4A's Megan Taylor (Sr.) is 14th in the field, 20:17.8 at Wellen Park worth 20:05.2, and she ran 20:02.8 at the Preserve Pursuit. North Port is 35th as a team. Sofia Boussouf (So., Classical Academy 1A) is 18th on 19:39.5 from the Preserve Pursuit, but Classical has four girls with a mark and cannot score. Isabella Legatie (Sr., Venice 4A) is 22nd on 19:47.2 from the same race, and Venice is 15th.
Not scoreable: Classical Academy 1A and Everglades City 1A have four girls with a 2026 mark; Cape Coral 4A, Lehigh 4A, Marco Island Academy 1A, Mariner 3A and South Fort Myers 3A have two; Zephyrhills 3A has one; Booker 3A has none. Middle school boys: WIND Runners over Classical Academy, and a 10:19 at the front
The middle school races score a much smaller field, because most of the high schools on the entry list do not carry middle school results in our database and the middle schools that do, DeSoto and R. Dan Nolan, have no 2026 mark yet. Six boys' teams score. WIND Runners score 34 with the second, third and fourth runners in the field: Maxwell Claypool (8th) 10:36.5 at Jim Ryun, Parker Whittamore 10:54.4 and Finn Dempsey (8th) 11:16.0, then a gap to Jose Gomez and Bryson Whittamore at 13th and 17th. Claypool ran 10:22.2 at the Horse Park and Dempsey 10:44.7, and the simulator scores their Jim Ryun runs instead. Classical Academy 1A is second at 41 on the tightest five in the race, 53 seconds from Cole DeMore (8th) 11:20.4 to Brady Nguyen (8th) 12:13.8, with seventh graders Jack Gruters and Austin Schroeder and a sixth grader, Fisher Miller, in between. All seven of their marks are from the MAC2 conference meet on September 8, which has no rating, so those are raw times standing in. Hardee Junior High is third at 68 with Ausom Torres and Gonzalo Lucatero sixth and seventh, a second apart at Jim Ryun. Tampa Bay Pirates (118), Indian Rocks Christian 1A (124) and Out-of-Door 1A (136) fill out the scoring teams; Indian Rocks' Caden Bonham, a seventh grader, is 11th in the field.
The fastest boy on the list is Tommy Schulte (8th, Naples Elite), 10:19.3 at Jim Ryun, and his club has one runner with a 2026 mark, so he runs for himself. Lakewood Ranch Prep has three boys and cannot score.

Middle school girls: Hardee Junior High by 13, and one girl on two entry lists
Four girls' teams score. Hardee Junior High scores 33, placing its five between sixth and twelfth in the field, 69 seconds apart, all from Jim Ryun: sixth grader Gianna Mier 13:51.4 leads, then Ava Olvera, Rylee Tubbs, Kathryn Benbow and Anahi Figuero. Tampa Bay Pirates are second at 46 on Madison Chavez (8th), second in the field on her 12:55.7 from Seffner Christian, worth 11:15.1, and sixth grader Margaux Plyler in eighth; Chavez's 12:07.5 at the Horse Park is the third-fastest raw time on the list. Classical Academy 1A (77) and Out-of-Door 1A (80) are three points apart with exactly five girls each. Out-of-Door's Bianca Azevedo (8th) ran 11:52.5 at a middle school 3k meet on September 15 that has no rating, and that raw time is fourth in the field; Classical's Cheyenne Chafin (7th) is seventh.
The fastest girl on the list is Emily Del Mazo, a seventh grader entered under WIND Runners, whose 11:27.3 at Jim Ryun is worth 10:26.6. She is the same runner as Emily Del Mazo-Collado, the seventh grader who is fourth in the high school girls' race above for Community School of Naples. Both teams are on the entry list, so she appears in both simulations; on Saturday she can only run one race. WIND Runners have three girls with a mark and cannot score, so her club places nothing either way.
A caution on the leveled middle school girls' times. The reference course for the middle school girls is the Horse Park, and both Jim Ryun and Seffner Christian graded a minute or more slow against it. Those are the shakiest ratings in this post. The best-times toggle on the simulator page is the safer read for this race, and the order of the four scoring teams does not change with it.

What the simulator cannot see
- Which teams are in the Elite race, the Large School race and the Small School race. The meet director places them and the entry list does not say. Every varsity team above is scored in one race per gender; use the remove button on the simulator page to rebuild a division once the lists are out.
- Who will be on the line. An entry list names teams, not athletes, and a team's best 2026 mark and its only 2026 mark are the same thing for a lot of this field. St. Petersburg's girls are entered entirely on an August 22 race.
- Ascend Track & Cross Country is not in our database. Canterbury School of St. Petersburg is in it only as a middle school program. DeSoto Middle School and R. Dan Nolan Middle School have no 2026 result. Kirkland Ranch and St. Johns Academy carry no FHSAA class in our records.
- Emily Del Mazo-Collado appears in two races, for Community School of Naples and for WIND Runners, because both entered her. She will run one.
- Booker's girls have no 2026 result we hold. Zephyrhills has one girl with a mark, Lydia Vincent, and she is second in the field.
Notes on the ratings
- A course rating is the gap between what runners ran at a meet and what the same runners ran at last year's state final, re-anchored so that Cecil Field, the biggest sample of the season, sits at zero. Boys use the mean of that gap and need at least five paired runners; girls use the median and need at least fifteen, or the boys' figure is scaled up instead.
- The North Port Preserve Pursuit rates fast for boys and girls, and the boys' figure rests on a thin sample. It is the reason Venice, Lemon Bay, Sarasota, Charlotte and North Port runners are entered on a slower run from Wellen Park, Lemon Bay or the Fort Myers Invite rather than their Preserve Pursuit times. If Saturday's course runs like the Preserve Pursuit did, the raw standings are the better guide for those schools.
- Jim Ryun rates slow for boys, and it carries Steinbrenner's whole scoring five, Pipia, and Plant's second through fifth. Whispering Pines rates slow for boys and fast for girls, which is why River Ridge's boys gain and Berkeley Prep's girls give back. The Fort Myers Invite rates slow for both, and it carries Fort Myers, Naples, Mariner and Charlotte.
- Middle school boys are leveled to Jim Ryun and middle school girls to the Horse Park, each the largest sample at that level. The MAC2 conference meet and the September 15 middle school 3k have no rating, so Classical Academy and Out-of-Door are entered on raw times.
- Middle school fields are grades 6 through 8. A runner with no grade in the results we hold appears without one above.
