Bolles and Gulliver's Horse Park five sat, McKeel won Land O' Lakes with 61, and Wolfson beat Eastside at Buchholz to move from eleventh to sixth.
Florida Class 2A boys cross country team rankings through four weeks: August 21-September 12, 2026
Bolles did not race and Gulliver Prep ran a second group at King of the Hill, so the top two are still the Horse Park top two. McKeel won Land O' Lakes with 61 on Aidan Alam and Cal Howard in second and third, a win that is not held against them, and holds third. The move of the week is Wolfson, fourth at the Buchholz Bobcats Classic with 164 with five boys between 17:17 and 17:52, a 0:40.7 spread that is the tightest in the class. That finish was one place and ten points ahead of Eastside, and it lifts Wolfson from eleventh to sixth, above Eastside, whose Luke Engels was third in 16:27.3. Episcopal is tenth over Berkeley Prep on the Horse Park finish; neither has raced since.
A team is ranked on its whole season, with the most recent race counting most, and a meet it won never counts against it. The virtual race behind these scores contains only Class 2A teams, so a team's place here and on the statewide list can differ. As always, this is data plus judgment, and we will miss somebody along the way. A (P) beside a team means it has not put its returning five on a starting line and is entered on what they ran last November. How we sorted it out is at the bottom. Races are not won until the kids have run. Enjoy.
About the times. The average on each line is the season figure the scoring uses, in Cecil Field terms. The times next to each runner are season figures too; the race log for every runner is on the rankings page.
The statewide lists: Week 4 boys team top 10 and Week 4 girls team top 10. The 2A boys individuals are here, and the week 3 edition of this list is here. The other classes this week: 2A girls, 1A boys, 3A boys, 4A boys.

Ran a second group at King of the Hill on Thursday, sixth with 223, led by a 19:00. The five that finished fourth at the Horse Park with 282 are the ones that rank them: Kayaan Ghaffar 16:15.7, Adrian Iziliaev 16:33.5, Emilio Perez-Garcia 16:41.8, then Tyler Keating, Nicolas Altaba, Aston Conrad and Christopher Arana inside six seconds of each other from 17:28 to 17:34. Land O' Lakes reads fast, the win would lower their figure, and a win never does, so they are ranked on Lake Region. The 2:14.3 spread between the second man and the third is the whole story of this team.

Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- Wolfson over Eastside: 4th and 5th at the Buchholz Bobcats Classic, and neither has raced since.
- Episcopal over Berkeley Prep: 28th and 29th at the Horse Park, and neither has raced since.
How we ranked them
- Every mark is converted to a Cecil Field equivalent through the runners who ran both that course and last year's state meet. The boys' field ran about a second slower in August than at state, and that is removed before a course is rated.
- Each runner is scored on his whole season, weighted toward the most recent race: this week counts four times, last week three, week two twice, opening weekend once. A race he won never lowers that figure, and a meet a team won never lowers the team's. A school's five best runners on that basis are its team.
- Those five, with a sixth and seventh where they exist, go into one virtual race against every other Class 2A team and are scored the way cross country is scored: top five count, sixth and seventh displace, five finishers required, low score wins. 103 2A boys teams cleared the bar; 0 of them are projections. Scores climb every week as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order and the averages.
- Where two teams in this class have raced each other with at least three of their scoring seven, and neither has raced since, the team that won ranks ahead of the team it beat. Those moves are listed above.
- A team whose returning five have not raced is entered on last November's state times and marked (P). A returner who has raced for another school this season is not projected at the old one.
- Classes are 2026-27, resolved against the FHSAA classification documents.
