Team ranking writeups
#1 — 2A Boys Week 1 · 45 points
5-man average 16:37.6 · 1-5 spread 0:56.0 · finished 2-5-8-12-18 · Cecil Field
Bolles put its whole varsity in the Cecil Field Elite race, the deepest boys field in Florida, and came out of it with a 56-second spread and seven runners inside the first 25 of the 2A virtual race. Brantley Rigdon 16:04.0, Aidan Chandler 16:28.0, Armaan Sharma 16:44.0, Wyatt Cleek 16:52.0, Vincent Barragan 17:00.0, then Luke Meiners 17:05.0 and Henry Camp 17:18.0 behind them. Nobody in this class is close to that. Only three 2A runners finished ahead of Bolles's second man — Gunther, McKeel's Aidan Alam and Gulliver's Adrian Iziliaev.
Then there is the part that should worry the rest of the class. Aaron Ches did not finish. Ches ran 16:26.1 at the 2025 state meet, twelfth in 2A, the second-fastest returning mark in this entire class — and the Cecil results list him at Bolles, not at Episcopal, where the returner file has him. If that is what it looks like, Bolles scored 45 points in a class where only one other team broke 200, with its best returning runner on the DNF line and out of the count entirely.
Bolles is fourth in Florida across all classes. It is the only 2A team on the state board that got there by racing.
#3 — 2A Girls Week 1 · 146 points
5-woman average 20:34.0 · 1-5 spread 2:06.0 · finished 4-27-28-38-49 · Cecil Field
The best 2A girls team that actually ran, and it is not close. Sofie Stam 19:20.0 in the Cecil Elite race, fourth in the class and fourth on our individual board. Then Kavya Patel 20:30.0 and Palmer Edwards 20:31.0 together at 27th and 28th, Valentina Bouras 21:03.0, Eliana Bruneau 21:26.0 — and behind them Lila McGowan 21:31.0 and Peyton Hoover 21:31.0, tied, as sixth and seventh.
Bolles put eighteen girls on the Cecil Field course across two races. Seven of them are inside the first 54 of this class. That is the deepest verified squad in 2A and the only top-three team here carrying no projection risk at all.
Sixteenth in Florida — behind eleven teams that also raced and four that did not. Whether 146 beats Episcopal's 70 in November is the season's question in this class, and it will not be answered by arithmetic.
#4 — Overall Boys Week 1 · 378
Cecil Field, 16:37.6, spread 0:56, and not a single runner in the state's top twenty. Brantley Rigdon 16:04, Aidan Chandler 16:28, Armaan Sharma 16:44, Wyatt Cleek 16:52, Vincent Barragan 17:00, sixth man 17:05.
Projected first in 2A at 52 points, and now looking over its shoulder at a 2A team four places back that did not race.
