Brantley Rigdon

Did not race. Sixteenth at the Horse Park in 16:12.6 on September 5; his Bale-N-Trail run on September 26 was a non-scoring run in the grade race, and we do not count it. Top runner on the season for Bolles.

Nineteenth at Cecil Field in 16:04.0 and 16th at the Horse Park in 16:12.6, where he beat Chandler and Iziliaev. On Saturday he ran 18:17.2 in the Bale-N-Trail 11-12 grade race and did not score for Bolles; we treat it as a group run and it does not count. Moss and Ghaffar beat him at the Horse Park. Fifth.

Ran the adidas XC Challenge in North Carolina on Friday with Bolles; that file is not in the pool yet, and nothing here depends on it. He is ranked on 16:04.0 for 19th at Cecil Field and 16:12.6 for 16th at the Horse Park, the best one-two of any 2A boy this fall. At the Horse Park he beat Iziliaev, Chandler, Barragan and lost to Moss and Ghaffar. Third to fifth without losing a race: Ghaffar beat him in Ocala, and Iziliaev's win over Ghaffar on Friday put both Gulliver boys above him.

Did not race. 16:04.0 for 19th at Cecil Field and 16:12.6 for 16th at the Horse Park, the best one-two of any 2A boy this fall. Fifth to third without running, as Gunther and Alam slipped on their week-four races.

16:04.0 at Cecil Field on opening night and 16:12.6 for 16th at the Horse Park, the two fairest courses on the calendar, eight seconds apart. Bolles's No. 1 and the anchor of the team we still rank first in 2A.

Still the fastest 2A boy who has actually run in 2026, on the 16:04.0 he posted in the Cecil Field Elite race, and still a runner with no 2025 state appearance and no returner file entry. He did not race in week two. The difference between this week and last week is that the gap behind him closed from a comfortable margin to almost nothing.

The name that wasn't in any file two weeks ago. Rigdon has no 2025 state appearance — he is not in the returner data at all, at Bolles or anywhere else — and he finished 19th in the Cecil Field Elite race in 16:04.0, in the deepest boys field in Florida, ahead of Bolles's entire returning top four.

That is the second-fastest 2A mark of the weekend on the anchor course with no conversion applied and none needed. He beat Armaan Sharma, the fourth-ranked returner in this class, by 40 seconds. He beat Aidan Chandler, twelfth-ranked, by 24. Whatever he was doing last November — a transfer, an injury, a season on the JV — he is now the fastest 2A boy who has actually run in 2026 by a comfortable margin.

He is ranked second on one race, which is exactly as much as anyone in this class has produced besides Moss's absence. Bolles ranks fourth in Florida as a team and Rigdon is the reason the number is not lower.
