The girls ten holds through conference week: Niceville and Chiles won titles, Creekside lost to Beachside with four of its top five sitting out, and Bishop Kenny's Middleburg race is scored as a workout.
Florida girls cross country team rankings through ten weeks: August 21-October 24, 2026
This was conference and county championship week. No two teams in the ten met at full strength, so New World, on October 17, is still the newest meeting for nearly every pair, and the order holds. Below is what each team did this week.
Bolles (2A), Carrollton (2A), Bishop Moore (3A), Episcopal (2A), Lourdes (3A) and Ponte Vedra (3A) did not race. Niceville (4A) won Okaloosa County with 19 and Chiles (3A) won the Suwannee Invitational with 28, ahead of Buchholz.
Two results needed a call, both at the Middleburg Bronco Classic on Saturday. Creekside (4A) was second to Beachside, 44 to 70, but ran without Eva Delaney, Emma Godfrey, Ivey Edgell and Hadleigh Roberts, four of its top five; its next group won the JV race. With them in, it beats Beachside easily, so Creekside holds sixth. Bishop Kenny (3A) was fifth with 170. Camila Giles won the race, but the rest of its varsity ran more than three minutes slower than at New World a week earlier, and two of its New World scorers, Emily and Grace McEnany, ran the JV race. That was a training day, not a race, and we have not scored it. Bishop Kenny holds tenth.
How this works, briefly. Every runner is scored on her whole season, with the most recent race counting most. A school's five best runners on that basis go into one virtual race with every other school's, scored the way cross country is scored. Times are leveled to Cecil Field through the runners who ran both the 2025 state meet and the course in question. A meet a team won is never allowed to lower its figure. Where two teams have raced each other and neither has raced its top runners since, the result on the grass orders them. A team that has not raced at all is projected from its returning five.
Points climb as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order and the averages. The averages below are converted season figures; the times next to each runner are her season figures in Cecil Field terms. Out-of-state entries are excluded, and IMG Academy competes as an FHSAA Independent outside the state series. The individual list is here, the boys' team list is here.

Vanguard (3A) took the first six places at the Marion Athletic Conference Championships for its 24th straight title (MAC recap). Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- Creekside is ranked on its full lineup. It lost to Beachside at Middleburg with four of its top five out; with them in, it wins.
- Bishop Kenny's Middleburg race is scored as a workout. Six of its top seven ran, but everyone except Giles was more than three minutes off their New World times. Bishop Kenny stays on its full-strength New World score.
- Carrollton, Bishop Moore and Bishop Kenny are still ranked on last week's full-strength New World scores, with their missing runners placed conservatively.

Method notes
- Where two teams have met at full strength, the newest meeting orders them. New World on October 17 is still that meeting for every pair in the ten.
- Full-strength scoring from last week stands: for each team missing one of its season top five at New World, the missing runner went back in at her season figure on that course plus 19 seconds. Those are estimates, not results, and a team moves the next time it races at full strength.
- A race where a team's runners are clearly running together well off their times is scored as a workout, as Buchholz's HMT race was in week 8. That applies to Bishop Kenny this week.
- A team only counts as having raced when at least three of its season top seven ran. Teams that did not race hold their places.
- Head-to-head results from September 12 and earlier no longer order teams. The times still count in the figures.
- 40 meets from October 18 to 24 are new in the numbers, most of them conference and county championships. Middle school and elementary races and races shorter than 5K are left out.
- Out-of-state teams are left out of the course readings and the virtual race. IMG Academy is an FHSAA Independent.
- Points are a virtual-race sum and move every time a new file enters the pool; compare order and averages, not points, week to week.
