Aidan Alam 16:18.4 — third in 2A, fourth on our individual board, a rising sophomore off a 16:17.8 state run as a freshman — and Cal Howard 16:56.0 at sixteenth. Then Nolan O'Steen 18:00.4 at 47th, and then it collapses: Andrew McKnight 19:24.9 and Nico Burke 19:26.4 at 110th and 112th.
McKeel has the lowest 5-man average of any team ranked 6th through 10th and it still scores 288, because two runners in the first sixteen do not outrun two runners past 110. The Wildcats did not enter a meet, so there is no evidence either way about whether their four and five moved this summer. It is the single most leveraged unknown in the class.
