Second at the Stampede Sprint on Saturday in 19:00.8 out of 142, behind Gaona-Zelaya. Second at the North Port Invite on September 19 in 18:23.2, 1.6 seconds ahead of Vincent, and a win at Land O' Lakes. Six races. Tanenbaum beat her at the Horse Park. Seventh.

Second at the North Port Invite elite race in 18:23.2 out of 144, 46 seconds behind Eudaly of Plant 4A and a second and a half ahead of Vincent, her fastest time of the year in her fifth race. North Port reads about 40 seconds fast for girls, so the run is worth about 19:03 at Cecil Field, in line with Jim Ryun, Whispering Pines and the Horse Park, which all say about 19:00; the Land O' Lakes win in 18:48.2 a week earlier is not held against her. First out a week ago by half a second, seventh now. The North Port result over Vincent is what puts her above a girl with the better season figure, and Tanenbaum's Horse Park result over her is what keeps her below Tanenbaum.

Three races: 19:45.3 at Jim Ryun, 18:52.1 at Whispering Pines and 19:04.4 for ninth at the Horse Park. Ninth in 3A at state in 18:40.6. The Horse Park run was seven places and 42 seconds behind Hallick on the same day.

The most consistent runner in the class and it is not close: 19:45.3 at Jim Ryun and 18:52.1 at Whispering Pines level out within one second of each other, on two courses priced from two different samples. A girl who is that repeatable at about 18:57 in August is going to be a problem in November. Cypress Creek is entered Saturday.

Ninth in 3A at state in 18:40.6, and she was second at the Jim Ryun Invitational in 19:45.3, behind Katherine Eudaly of Plant. Jim Ryun graded 47.1 seconds slow off 30 returners — the most reliable non-Cecil conversion we have — which puts her at 18:58.2, or about 11 seconds better than her state mark.

Solid, defended, unspectacular. Cypress Creek ranks 25th in 3A with a 6:15 spread, so like most of this list she is a one-woman argument.
