Trae Britton did not finish; his 16:20.0 from Cecil Field still counts. The course ran about a minute slow by the boys who have also run state, and on that reading the run is the second-best figure in the class. They are fourth, not second, because Vanguard beat them by seven points at Cecil Field on opening night and they have not met since. A win on a slow course does not jump a team you lost to. Fifth to fourth, and Britton healthy closes a 1:58.3 spread that is the widest in the top five.
