Niceville won again at Pace with 20 points and five girls across the line in two seconds, and is first in the class and the state for the third week. Creekside was second at the Florida Horse Park and holds second on the best season average in Class 4A. Doral Academy and Sarasota are in the ten for the first time.
Florida Class 4A girls cross country team rankings through three weeks: August 21-September 5, 2026
Niceville did it again. At the Pace Patriot Invitational on Saturday they scored 20 points with five girls across the line in 21:05.2, 21:05.7, 21:06.0, 21:07.0 and 21:07.1, the only runner in front of them Gulf Breeze's Ashton Dahlem. Three meets, three wins, and a pack finish in the last two. A win never counts against a team here, so they are ranked on the run that shows the most, Pine Forest on August 29, and on that they are still the best five in Florida. First in the class for the third week, and first in the state.
Creekside was second at the Florida Horse Park with 183, behind only Bishop Moore in the deepest girls' race of the year, and holds second on the best season average in the class. Doral Academy was seventh in that race and is on the list for the first time. Beachside was tenth, one place and 90 points ahead of Sunlake, and moved from 13th to eighth. Sarasota won the Wellen Park Invitational and is in the ten. Boone, Bartram Trail and Flagler Palm Coast, eighth, ninth and tenth a week ago, are out. Spanish River is still a projection, and there is a reason for it below.
Starting this week a team is ranked on its whole season, with the most recent race counting most, and a meet it won never counts against it. The virtual race behind these scores contains only Class 4A teams, so a team's place here and on the statewide list can differ. As always, this is data plus judgment, and we will miss somebody along the way. A (P) beside a team means it has not put its returning five on a starting line and is entered on what they ran last November. How we sorted it out is at the bottom. The Pine Forest run is the one that ranks them, Anais Almonte 20:04.0, Harmony Holland 20:04.2, Riley Marise 20:04.3, Sophie Clapp 20:05.1, Carolina Ramos 20:05.3, and blended with Cecil the season averages 19:39.7 on a 19-second spread. Nobody else in Florida has five girls that close. What the clock has not been shown yet is the front of this team racing: Marise ran 19:17.0 and Almonte 19:18.0 at Cecil.
2. Creekside (St. Johns): 144 points

Second at the Horse Park with 183, 42 points behind Bishop Moore and 7 ahead of Ponte Vedra. Hadleigh Roberts's 19:30.0 from Cecil Field is still in the five and she did not run Saturday. The season averages 19:36.9, the best in the class, three seconds better than Niceville's, on a spread two minutes wider. The front three are the best front three in 4A; the fourth and fifth are the whole argument.
3. Spanish River (Boca Raton): 201 points (P)

Still a projection, and for a specific reason. Spanish River has raced twice, third at Pine Crest and second at Dr. Garcia behind Cardinal Newman, but Alba Antunez-Perez and Lailani Levy, their two best returners, have not run, and a team that fields five without at least two of its returning scorers stays on its returning five. Those five, from last November: Antunez-Perez 18:20.3, Levy 18:42.2, Makaela Morilla 19:14.5, Julia D'Emic 20:03.8, Olivia Downes 20:40.5. Without the front two they averaged 21:06 on Thursday. With them, this is a top-three team. Until they open, this placement is a floor and a guess at the same time.
4. Nease (Ponte Vedra): 277 points

Fifth to fifth, two points behind Nease.
6. Doral Academy: 289 points

Second at Pine Crest on August 28 behind Carrollton, then seventh at the Horse Park with 265: Nicole Lewis 18:43.0, fifth overall and the No. 6 individual in the class, Madison Chin 19:44.5, Lauren Avila 20:33.8, Estefania Capriles 21:16.3, who ran 19:47.8 at Pine Crest, Emily Castellanos 21:37.6. Sixth on a 2:47 spread. Capriles at Pine Crest form and this is a top-four team.

8. Beachside (St. Johns): 440 points

Tenth at the Horse Park with 330, and every one of the five ran faster than at Cecil Field: Lilly Potts 19:20.9, Amelia Sipkovsky 20:05.3, Meghana Reddy 21:04.0, Christina Haven 21:24.4, who took 67 seconds off her Cecil time, Madison Dubsky 21:57.0. Thirteenth to eighth. They beat Sunlake by 90 points in Ocala, and that puts them a place ahead of a team with the better season figure.
9. Sunlake (Land O'Lakes): 377 points

Beachside beat them, and they are ninth.
10. Sarasota: 380 points

They also won at North Port on August 29, and that run is not counted because it would lower the figure. Eleventh to tenth, and two wins from two starts.

11. Buchholz, 475, has not raced since Whispering Pines and dropped a place. 12. Boone, 486, is on the Kowboy run from August 29 and nothing since; eighth to twelfth. 13. Bartram Trail, 495, has Avery Hartley's 18:13.0 from Cecil Field, the No. 5 mark in the class, and a 3:57 spread behind her; they have not raced since August 21. 14. Plant, 519, won the Parker Valby Invitational with 29 on Katherine Eudaly's 18:48.7; Eudaly has won all three of her races and the fifth girl is four minutes behind her.
Flagler Palm Coast was tenth a week ago and is 15th after finishing 21st at the Horse Park. Winter Park, 17th, was 12th there. Riverview of Sarasota, with Madison Muller, the No. 1 individual in Florida, is 26th; Lake Nona, with Arabella Duffell, is 24th; Wiregrass Ranch, with Natalia Gaona-Zelaya, is 25th. The three best girls in the class run for teams nowhere near this page.
Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- Beachside (St. Johns) over Sunlake (Land O'Lakes): 10th and 11th at Horse Park. Sunlake has the better average by 15 seconds a runner and the virtual race has them eighth. Beachside beat them by 90 points at the Horse Park.
How we ranked them
- Every mark is converted to a Cecil Field equivalent through the runners who ran both that course and last year's state meet. The girls' field ran about half a minute slower in August than at state, and that is removed before a course is rated.
- Each runner is scored on her whole season, weighted toward the most recent race: this week counts three times, last week twice, opening weekend once. A race she won never lowers that figure, and a meet a team won never lowers the team's. A school's five best runners on that basis are its team.
- Those five, with a sixth and seventh where they exist, go into one virtual race against every other Class 4A team and are scored the way cross country is scored: top five count, sixth and seventh displace, five finishers required, low score wins. 100 4A girls teams cleared the bar; 3 of them are projections. Scores climb every week as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order and the averages.
- Where two teams in this class raced each other this week with at least three of their scoring seven, the team that won ranks ahead of the team it beat. Those moves are listed above.
- A team whose returning five have not raced is entered on last November's state times and marked (P). A returner who has raced for another school this season is not projected at the old one.
- Classes are 2026-27, resolved against the FHSAA classification documents.
- Spanish River is projected because it has raced twice without at least two of its returning top-five scorers. The projection stays until Antunez-Perez and Levy open.
- DeLand was priced at its more conservative reading for the girls, which is why Hagerty's win there is reported and not scored.
