Creekside won the Bale-N-Trail Elite race by 43 points, Carrollton won the STU Bobcat Invitational, and Bishop Moore holds second over Bishop Kenny on their one-point Katie Caples result.

None of the top four teams raced a full lineup this week, so the top of the list stands: Niceville, Bishop Moore, Bishop Kenny, Chiles.
Creekside won the Bale-N-Trail Elite race with 59, 43 points clear of Buchholz and 46 clear of Ponte Vedra: Eva Delaney second in 18:19.0, 1.5 seconds behind Avery Hartley, Emma Godfrey third in 18:53.5, Ivey Edgell sixth in 19:28.4, then Elena Schultz 20:21.3 and Grace Dashiell 20:42.9. Creekside stays sixth. The virtual race still has it behind Carrollton, and Bishop Moore and Bishop Kenny both beat it at Katie Caples.
Carrollton won the STU Bobcat Invitational with 24, four in the top six: Eva Martinez-Lejarza 19:31.3, Antonia Beltran 19:37.7, Paola De La Iglesia 19:47.2, Lauren Martinez-Lejarza 19:58.5, Daniela Hernandez 20:22.2.
Bishop Kenny went to Bale without its top seven and was fourth in both grade races. Under last week's arithmetic, that outing would have cancelled Bishop Moore's one-point win over Kenny at Katie Caples on Sept. 19. We changed that: a team has only raced when at least three of its top seven ran. Moore stays second and Kenny third.
Bolles comes in at ninth and Ponte Vedra drops to twelfth. Ponte Vedra was third in the Bale Elite race without Piper Ross, its top runner, and those runs leveled slower than its earlier figures.
How this works, briefly. Every runner is scored on her whole season, with the most recent race counting most. A school's five best runners on that basis go into one virtual race with every other school's, scored the way cross country is scored. Times are leveled to Cecil Field through the runners who ran both the 2025 state meet and the course in question. A meet a team won is never allowed to lower its figure. Where two teams have raced each other and neither has raced its top runners since, the result on the grass orders them. A team that has not raced at all is projected from its returning five.
Points climb as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order and the averages. The averages below are converted season figures; the times next to each runner are her season figures in Cecil Field terms. Out-of-state entries are excluded, and IMG Academy competes as an FHSAA Independent outside the state series. The individual list is here, the boys' team list is here.
1. Niceville, 4A: 286 points

Did not race. Second to IMG at the Southern Showcase on Sept. 19 with 77. Holland, Jackson, Clapp, Almonte and Marise sit inside 20.5 seconds of each other on figure, the tightest five in the state. First by 66 points in the virtual race.
2. Bishop Moore (Orlando), 3A: 417 points

Did not race. Won Katie Caples on Sept. 19 with 62, one point ahead of Bishop Kenny, with Annabella Tomasic first in 17:24.0. Fourth in the virtual race, second here on that result. The 3:02 spread from Tomasic to the fifth girl is the widest in the ten.
3. Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville), 3A: 352 points

Ran a group without Camila Giles, Jillian Jakab or any of its top seven at Bale-N-Trail: fourth in the 11th-12th grade race with 107 and fourth in the 9th-10th with 128. That isn't a team race by our rule, so the one-point loss to Bishop Moore at Katie Caples still orders them. Second in the virtual race, third here.
4. Chiles (Tallahassee), 3A: 397 points

Has not raced its top five since the Horse Park on Sept. 5, where it was sixth. Kaia Ables and Emma-Claire Tanenbaum lead at 18:59 and 19:00 on figure. Creekside, Ponte Vedra and Episcopal beat Chiles that day, and all three have raced since, so under the usual team rule the result no longer orders them. Fourth on figure.
5. Carrollton (Miami), 2A: 454 points

6. Creekside (St. Johns), 4A: 503 points

The second group was second in the 11th-12th grade race, one point behind Ponte Vedra. Sixth, behind Moore and Kenny, which both beat it at Katie Caples, and behind Carrollton on figure.
7. Spanish River (Boca Raton), 4A: 510 points

8. Episcopal (Jacksonville), 2A: 570 points

Its second group won the Bale-N-Trail 9th-10th grade race with 39. Holland McKinney, Stella Krueger and four teammates ran together in 23:18 to 23:19, and we don't count those runs. Fourth at Katie Caples on Sept. 19, one point behind Creekside. Eighth.
9. Bolles (Jacksonville), 2A: 722 points

Did not race its top runners; a Bolles group was third in the Bale 11th-12th grade race with 84. Sofie Stam leads the five at 19:06.6 on figure. Ninth, in for Ponte Vedra, whose Bale runs leveled slower than its earlier figures.
10. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale), 4A: 743 points

Did not race. Third in the 4A scoring of the Race of Champions on Sept. 18 with 142. Elise Brown's 18:50 still leads the five, and the spread to the fifth girl is 2:35.
Just missed
Holy Trinity (1A) did not race and is eleventh. Ponte Vedra (3A) was third in the Bale Elite race with 105, three points behind Buchholz, and its second group won the 11th-12th grade race with 75; twelfth. Doral Academy (4A) is thirteenth, Sunlake (4A) fourteenth, and Dillard (3A) fifteenth on a projection from last November. Boone (4A) won the West Orange Invitational with 41, Anne Vanos first in 18:45.2. Buchholz (4A) was second at Bale with 102.
Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- Bishop Moore over Bishop Kenny: 1st and 2nd at the Katie Caples Invitational, and neither has raced its top runners since.
- Chiles over Creekside, Ponte Vedra and Episcopal: all three beat Chiles at the Horse Park on Sept. 5 and have raced since; Chiles has not. The result lapses under the usual team rule, and Chiles holds fourth on figure.
Method notes
- New this week: a team only counts as having raced when at least three of its season top seven ran. Bishop Kenny, Bolles and Episcopal all sent groups to Bale-N-Trail without them.
- Bale-N-Trail was scored as an Elite race plus grade races; only the Elite race is a varsity meeting. Group runs, such as Episcopal's six girls at 23:18 in the 9th-10th grade race, are left out of both the course reading and the figures.
- A meet a team won never lowers its figure: Niceville (week 3), Bishop Moore (week 3), St. Thomas Aquinas (weeks 4 and 5) and Carrollton (week 6) each carry a dropped win.
- Points are a virtual-race sum over more than 90 scored teams and move every time a file enters the pool; compare order and averages week to week.
