Niceville was second to IMG at the Southern Showcase with five girls inside 40 seconds, Bishop Moore beat Bishop Kenny by a point at the Katie Caples Invitational and moves to second, Spanish River won its Race of Champions, and Carrollton moves up to fifth after winning the Class 2A scoring of the Race of Champions.

Niceville went to Huntsville and was second in the Southern Showcase championship race with 77 points, behind only IMG Academy's 34, in a 19-team field from across the South: Lola Jackson 18:56.9, Harmony Holland 18:58.2, Sophie Clapp 19:19.5, Anais Almonte 19:28.4, Riley Marise 19:36.1. Five in 39 seconds, and three of them freshmen. First, and not close.
Bishop Moore and Bishop Kenny raced each other at the Katie Caples Invitational and Bishop Moore won by a point, 62 to 63, with Annabella Tomasic first in 17:24.0 and Camila Giles and Jillian Jakab second and third for Kenny. The virtual race has Kenny ahead; the grass had Moore, and neither has raced since, so Moore is second and Kenny third. Creekside, Episcopal and Ponte Vedra were third, fourth and fifth in the same race, one point between the first two, and they sit in that order at seven, eight and nine.
Spanish River won the Class 4A scoring of its Race of Champions with 47, Alba Antunez-Perez winning the race by 50 seconds. And Carrollton is fifth, up from ninth, after nearly falling out of the list for a reason that was our fault, not theirs: a Georgia school of the same name entered our out-of-state list on Saturday and would have taken the Miami girls with it. Fixed, and explained at the bottom.
One more move without a race: Chiles goes from seventh to fourth while Creekside, Episcopal and Ponte Vedra slide. The three of them ran Katie Caples, a course that reads 30 seconds fast, and their runs there leveled worse than their earlier figures; Chiles stayed home and its Cecil Field and Horse Park figures held.
How this works, briefly. Every runner is scored on her whole season, with the most recent race counting most. A school's five best runners on that basis go into one virtual race with every other school's, scored the way cross country is scored. Times are leveled to Cecil Field through the runners who ran both the 2025 state meet and the course in question. A meet a team won is never allowed to lower its figure. Where two teams have raced each other and neither has raced since, the result on the grass orders them. A team that has not raced at all is projected from its returning five.
Points climb every week as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order and the averages. The averages below are converted season figures; the times next to each runner are what she actually ran. Out-of-state entries are excluded, and IMG Academy competes as an FHSAA Independent outside the state series; there is a word on them at the bottom. 2. Bishop Moore (Orlando), 3A: 415 points

Holds fourth on Cecil Field and the Horse Park, up from seventh: the three teams that were above it ran Katie Caples, a fast-reading course, and their figures did not hold.
5. Carrollton (Miami), 2A: 452 points

Elise Brown's Cecil Field 18:50 still leads the five; the spread to the fifth girl is 2:35.
Just missed
Holy Trinity (1A) did not race and is eleventh. Doral Academy (4A) was second in the 4A scoring of the Race of Champions with 80, Nicole Lewis second overall in 18:53.4, and is twelfth. Dillard (3A) is thirteenth on a projection from last November. Sunlake (4A) won the Nature Coast Shark Invitational with 20. Vanguard (3A) won Rockledge with 40 behind Hallick's win. Nease (4A) was sixth at Katie Caples with 149.
Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- Bishop Moore over Bishop Kenny: 1st and 2nd at the Katie Caples Invitational, and neither has raced since.
Method notes
- Every runner's season figure is built as in the individual list; the course readings for the week are in the girls' individual post. Spanish River scored its meet per FHSAA class, so the engine saw no team rows there; the 4A order (Spanish River, Doral, St. Thomas Aquinas) already matched the list and needed no call.
- The Carrollton fix: our out-of-state list works by school name, and Carrollton (GA) was added to it when the Southern Showcase file arrived on Saturday. That would have dropped Carrollton of Miami from this week's list. The same check found and fixed Jesuit of Tampa, Riverdale of Fort Myers, Douglas of Parkland and Hudson of Pasco in the boys' pool. None of them had been affected before this week.
- A meet a team won never lowers its figure: Niceville (week 3), Bishop Moore (week 3) and St. Thomas Aquinas (weeks 4 and 5) each carry a dropped win.
- Points are a virtual-race sum over more than 90 scored teams and move every time a file enters the pool; compare order and averages week to week.
A word on IMG Academy
IMG Academy won the Southern Showcase with 34 points: Emma Balaban first, Rashida Reinhardt fourth, Sydney Johnson sixth, Brooke Pelkey ninth, Brooklyn Brown eighteenth, in a 160-girl race. Niceville was the next team, 43 points back. IMG is an FHSAA Independent and does not compete in the state series, so it is named here and not scored; on the grass in Huntsville it was the best team in the state by a distance.
