Carrollton won the Class 2A scoring of the Spanish River Race of Champions with 61 points without Daniela Hernandez: Gabriella Socarras sixth in 19:24.9, Eva Martinez-Lejarza eleventh in 19:44.3, Paola De La Iglesia 14th in 19:53.6, Antonia Beltran 17th in 20:02.6, Lauren Martinez-Lejarza 18th in 20:08.7. Five inside 44 seconds, and the best figure on the team was not in the race. First.
Episcopal was first a week ago because it finished four places ahead of Carrollton at the Horse Park, and that result ordered the two only while neither raced on a rated course. Episcopal ran the Katie Caples Invitational on Saturday and was fourth with 88, one point behind Creekside 4A, Holland McKinney fourth in 18:56 and Stella Krueger twelfth. The finish expired, the figures took over, and Carrollton has the better average by 12 seconds a runner. Second.
Cardinal Gibbons won the 2A scoring of the 1A-2A race at Spanish River with 44 on Friday, three days after winning BCAA Week Three at Markham Park, and enters at fourth. Berkeley Prep won the North Port Invite with 72 in an 18-team field. West Shore and Edgewood were second and third at Rockledge on Friday, and neither has raced since, so West Shore ranks ahead although Edgewood has the fewer virtual-race points. This is data and judgment, and we will miss somebody.
A team is ranked on its whole season, with the most recent race counting most, and a meet it won never counts against it. The virtual race behind these scores contains only Class 2A teams, so a team's place here and on the statewide list can differ. As always, this is data plus judgment, and we will miss somebody along the way. A (P) beside a team means it has not put its returning five on a starting line and is entered on what they ran last November. How we sorted it out is at the bottom. Fourth to third without racing, as Ransom Everglades slid on its Spanish River run. The number is a month old.
4. Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale): 194 points

Three days earlier they won BCAA Week Three at Markham Park with 23, Serra first in 21:04.6 on a course that runs more than two minutes slow. New to the ten at fourth, with four girls inside 20:00 on Friday and a 3:41.4 spread to the fifth that is the widest in the top eight.
5. Berkeley Prep (Tampa): 200 points

North Port reads fast, and the win counts because it is their best run; the Horse Park is the other. Fifth, where they were, on a 2:16.8 spread.
6. Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach): 255 points

Second in the Class 2A scoring at Spanish River with 83, three points ahead of Ransom Everglades and 39 behind Cardinal Gibbons: Tessa Brown sixth in 19:35.6, Lucy Burkly 13th in 20:15.3, Vicki Burkly 14th in 20:15.8, Lily Kissel 45th in 22:02.3, Rose O'Hara 56th in 22:28.3. The two Burklys half a second apart. On the season the five is Brown, the Burklys, Elisa Kate Stroup and Lucy Daniels on a 1:41.7 spread. Sixth: Cardinal Gibbons came in above them on the same afternoon's result, and they hold the place over Ransom Everglades on the three points from the same race.
7. Ransom Everglades (Miami): 227 points
Season average 20:51.1 · 1-5 spread 1:59.8 · finished 11-30-37-58-91 in the class Won in week 2; that run is not held against them.

11. Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale), 444, was fourth in the 2A scoring at Spanish River with 98, Harper Thomerson tenth in 19:59.3, and drops from tenth. 12. Wolfson (Jacksonville), 492, did not race. 13. Cocoa Beach, 501, was sixth at Rockledge with 119 behind Esther Dobbin's seventh. 14. Coral Springs Charter, 546, put four finishers in the Race of Champions, Lily Richardson 25th in 20:26.3, and did not score a team.
Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- West Shore over Edgewood: 2nd and 3rd at the Rockledge Raider Classic, and neither has raced since.
- Cardinal Newman over Ransom Everglades: Cardinal Newman 83, Ransom Everglades 86 in the Class 2A scoring of the Spanish River Invitational on Sept. 18, at least three of each scoring five in the race, and neither has raced since; the timer scored it by class so the engine cannot see the meeting
How we ranked them
- Every mark is converted to a Cecil Field equivalent through the runners who ran both that course and last year's state meet. The girls' field ran about half a minute slower in August than at state, and that is removed before a course is rated.
- Each runner is scored on her whole season, weighted toward the most recent race: this week counts five times, last week four, week three three times, week two twice, opening weekend once. A race she won never lowers that figure, and a meet a team won never lowers the team's. A school's five best runners on that basis are its team.
- Those five, with a sixth and seventh where they exist, go into one virtual race against every other Class 2A team and are scored the way cross country is scored: top five count, sixth and seventh displace, five finishers required, low score wins. 88 2A girls teams cleared the bar; 0 of them are projections. Scores climb every week as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order and the averages.
- Where two teams in this class have raced each other with at least three of their scoring seven, and neither has raced on a rated course since, the team that won ranks ahead of the team it beat. Those moves are listed above.
- A team whose returning five have not raced is entered on last November's state times and marked (P). A returner who has raced for another school this season is not projected at the old one.
- Classes are 2026-27, resolved against the FHSAA classification documents.
- Cardinal Newman over Ransom Everglades is the head-to-head rule applied by hand: the 83 to 86 in the 2A scoring at Spanish River is a meeting like any other, and the engine could not see it because the meet was scored by class.
- Spanish River scored its meet by FHSAA class, so the engine saw no team rows there. The 2A scorings are quoted from the meet: Cardinal Gibbons 44, Cardinal Newman 83, Ransom Everglades 86 and Calvary Christian 98 in the 1A-2A race; Carrollton 61 in the Race of Champions.
- Episcopal over Carrollton was a head-to-head move a week ago, on the Horse Park finish. That rule holds only while neither team has raced on a rated course; Episcopal raced Katie Caples, so this week the season figures order them and Carrollton is first.
- Bolles has not put its varsity on a rated course since August 21, and its figure is the oldest in the ten.
