Niceville swept the Wildcat Invitational and stays first, Bishop Moore holds second over Bishop Kenny, Chiles won the flrunners.com Race of Champions by 56 points, and Ponte Vedra comes into the ten after winning Speziale.
Florida girls cross country team rankings through seven weeks: August 21-October 3, 2026
Chiles (3A) won the Race of Champions at the flrunners.com Invitational in Lakeland with 48, 56 points ahead of Lourdes. Emma-Claire Tanenbaum was third, Kaia Ables ninth, and Charlotte Sikes and Chloe Molen were inside the top 14. Chiles stays fourth: it has not raced Niceville or the varsities of Bishop Moore and Bishop Kenny since early September.
Niceville (4A) swept the Wildcat Invitational in Pensacola and stays first. Bishop Moore (3A) holds second over Bishop Kenny (3A), which is ahead of Moore in the virtual race but lost to it 62 to 63 at Katie Caples on September 19. Kenny's top seven have not raced since.
Episcopal (2A) finished 17th of 41 in the Great American Race of Champions with 553, eight points ahead of Spanish River (4A), and Episcopal stays above Spanish River. Ponte Vedra (3A) won its own Speziale meet with 30, 16 points ahead of Vanguard (3A), and comes in at ninth. Vanguard ran without its No. 2, Cierra Mills, and with her the front of the race would have been close. We are keeping Ponte Vedra ahead as our call, and the reason is the fifth runner. Ponte Vedra's No. 5, Layann Issa, ran 21:11.5; Vanguard's No. 5, Anya Bryniarski, ran 22:20.0, 69 seconds back, and all seven Ponte Vedra runners finished ahead of her. As the fields get bigger in October, the fifth spot decides more team races, and that is too much daylight to rank Vanguard ahead. Bolles and St. Thomas Aquinas drop out.
How this works, briefly. Every runner is scored on her whole season, with the most recent race counting most. A school's five best runners on that basis go into one virtual race with every other school's, scored the way cross country is scored. Times are leveled to Cecil Field through the runners who ran both the 2025 state meet and the course in question. A meet a team won is never allowed to lower its figure. Where two teams have raced each other and neither has raced its top runners since, the result on the grass orders them. A team that has not raced at all is projected from its returning five.
Points climb as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order and the averages. The averages below are converted season figures; the times next to each runner are her season figures in Cecil Field terms. Out-of-state entries are excluded, and IMG Academy competes as an FHSAA Independent outside the state series. The individual list is here, the boys' team list is here.

Just missed
Bolles (2A) did not race its varsity and is 11th. St. Thomas Aquinas (4A) won the Week 5 meet at Markham Park with 19 against two other teams; 12th. Lourdes (3A) was second to Chiles at flrunners.com with 104 and is 13th. Sunlake (4A) was fourth there. Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- Ponte Vedra over Vanguard: 1st and 2nd at the Craig Speziale Invitational, and neither has raced its top runners since.
- Lourdes over Sunlake: 2nd and 4th at the flrunners.com Invitational, and neither has raced its top runners since.
- Bishop Moore over Bishop Kenny: Bishop Moore beat Bishop Kenny 62 to 63 at Katie Caples on Sept. 19, and Kenny has not raced its top seven since; its girls at Speziale on Saturday were a second group.

Method notes
- A team only counts as having raced when at least three of its season top seven ran. Bishop Kenny's and Creekside's girls at Speziale were second groups and do not count as varsity meetings.
- Ponte Vedra over Vanguard is our call: Vanguard ran Speziale without its No. 2, Cierra Mills, but Ponte Vedra's No. 5 finished 69 seconds ahead of Vanguard's, and all seven Ponte Vedra runners were ahead of Vanguard's fifth. The bigger the field, the more the fifth runner matters.
- Head-to-head results from September 12 and earlier no longer order teams. The times still count in the figures.
- Out-of-state teams at the Great American XC Festival and the Alexander Invitational are left out of the course readings and the virtual race.
- The Fletcher Nor'Eastern Classic is not rated this week: its runners finished 5 to 9 minutes slower than their usual 5K times, so it was not a standard 5K.
- Sixteen meets from September 22 to 26 that had not been in our numbers were added this week, among them the Hagerty Invitational and the NW Area Girls Championship.
- Points are a virtual-race sum and move every time a new file enters the pool; compare order and averages, not points, week to week.
