Week 6 Class 1A girls cross country team rankings for Florida: Holy Trinity first, Oak Hall second, Community School third, Indian Rocks Christian holds fifth, and Foundation Academy enters at eighth.
Florida Class 1A girls cross country team rankings through six weeks: August 21-September 26, 2026
Holy Trinity is first in 1A with Taylor and Kelly Geraghty up front. The top five did not race this weekend and none of them moved.
Two Jacksonville teams ran well at Bale-N-Trail. Cornerstone Classical was sixth, with Faith Dykens seventh in the Elite race in 19:31.9, and beat St. Johns Country Day, which was seventh. Both runs are worth a few points on Indian Rocks Christian in the virtual race. Indian Rocks sat out, has not met either team, and keeps fifth. Foundation Academy was third at West Orange with five inside 40 seconds and comes in at eighth.
Southwest Florida Christian beat Community School at Fort Myers on Sept. 12, but Community ran that race without its No. 3 and No. 5. A short-handed race is not held against a team, so Community stays third.
A team is ranked on its whole season, with the most recent race counting most, and a meet it won never counts against it. A team that sat out the weekend is not marked down for it. The virtual race behind these scores contains only Class 1A teams, so a team's place here and on the statewide list can differ. As always, this is data plus judgment, and we will miss somebody along the way. A (P) beside a team means it has not put its returning five on a starting line and is entered on what they ran last November. How we sorted it out is at the bottom.
About the times. The average on each line is the converted season figure the scoring uses, in Cecil Field terms, and so are the times beside each runner's name. Times in the write-ups are what the kids actually ran that day; the race log for every runner is on the rankings page.

Did not race. Won Astronaut on Sept. 12 with 66 and the Indian River Fairgrounds meet in August. Taylor Geraghty and Kelly Geraghty are the best one-two in 1A, and Abby Connors and Juelle Maaser follow. First.
2. Oak Hall (Gainesville): 158 points

Did not race. Second at the Buchholz Bobcats Classic on Sept. 12. Reese Allen, Lola Murfee, Natalie Kay, Macie Bell and Madeline Kay are separated by 46 seconds on the season, the tightest five in the class. Second.
3. Community School (Naples): 209 points

Did not race. Fourth at the Fort Myers meet on Sept. 12 without its No. 3 and No. 5; Southwest Florida Christian was second there, and a short-handed race is not held against a team. Emily Del Mazo and Anna Kate Casto are a strong front two. Third.
4. All Saints' (Winter Haven): 213 points

Did not race. Won the SSAA meet on Sept. 19 with 27, its second straight win. Charlotte Roy is one of the best runners in 1A, and Kylie Cook is second. The fourth and fifth are the gap. Fourth.
5. Indian Rocks Christian (Largo): 333 points

Cornerstone Classical and St. Johns Country Day each passed Indian Rocks by a few points on their Bale-N-Trail runs, but a team that sat out is not passed on a few points by teams it has not raced. Fifth, where it was.
6. Cornerstone Classical (Jacksonville): 326 points

11. Providence (450) was 14th at Bale-N-Trail without two of its top three. 12. Maclay (516), 13. St. John Paul II (546) and 14. Circle Christian (551) did not race.
Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- Cornerstone Classical over St. Johns Country Day: 6th and 7th at Bale-N-Trail, and neither has raced its top runners since.
- Indian Rocks Christian over Cornerstone Classical: Indian Rocks Christian holds fifth: it did not race the week of Sept. 26 and is not passed on a few points of figure by a team that did, when the two have not met (Darrin, 2026-09-29).
How we ranked them
- Every mark is converted to a Cecil Field equivalent through the runners who ran both that course and last year's state meet.
- Each runner is scored on her whole season, weighted toward the most recent race: this week counts six times, last week five, and so on back to opening weekend, which counts once. A race she won never lowers that figure, and a meet a team won never lowers the team's. A school's five best runners on that basis are its team.
- Those five, with a sixth and seventh where they exist, go into one virtual race against every other Class 1A team, scored the way cross country is scored. 85 1A girls teams cleared the bar; 2 of them are projections. Points climb as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order.
- Where two teams in this class have raced each other with at least three of their scoring seven, the team that won ranks ahead of the team it beat. New this week: a win keeps counting when the winner races again, and a team that sat out the weekend does not lose ground to a team that beat nobody it had to beat. A race run without a team's No. 1 or without two of its scoring five is not held against it.
- A team whose returning five have not raced is entered on last November's state times and marked (P).
- Classes are 2026-27, resolved against the FHSAA classification documents.
