Class 1A Girls Cross Country District Preview 2026: All Eight FHSAA Districts

person Run Florida Run
calendar_today November 2, 2026 schedule 26 min read

All eight Class 1A girls districts: sites, start times, every team, and who moves on. Roy and Wilkinson again, Geraghty, Webb and Del Mazo, and Mary Summers tonight in Spring Hill.

FHSAA Class 1A girls cross country district meets, November 2-7, 2026

District 5 on Wednesday at John S. Taylor Park is a rematch. Emma Wilkinson of Lakeland Christian is first on our 1A list and Charlotte Roy of All Saints' is second, but Roy won the Polk County championship on October 24, 17.6 seconds ahead of Wilkinson.

Taylor Geraghty of Holy Trinity, third on our list, runs District 4. Joanie Webb of Donahue Academy and Emily Del Mazo of Community School meet again in District 6. And District 3 is tonight at Bishop McLaughlin, where Mary Summers of Seven Rivers Christian is racing again.

The state series starts this week. Class 1A has eight districts, two feeding each of the four regions, and the top eight teams in each district plus the top four individuals who are not on one of those teams move on. Regionals are November 11-14 and the state meet is Friday, November 20, at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.

Every school FHSAA assigned to each district is listed, with the teams and runners we expect up front. The order comes from putting everyone's best race this fall on the same course, then lining it up with our latest rankings and head-to-head results. Teams enter their district rosters, not us, so a runner on these lists may not be on the line. This is data plus judgment, and we will miss somebody. How we did it is at the bottom.

About the times: each runner's time is one they actually ran this fall. The bold time beside it is our projection for the state meet. New World is our benchmark: every race this fall is put on the New World scale, and then we add what runners lost between New World and State last year, about half a minute (36 seconds for the boys, 27 for the girls). The order matters more than the exact second.

How we did it

  • District assignments are FHSAA's own, from its 2026-27 classification page, pulled November 2. District sites and start times are from the FHSAA district sites page, last updated October 20.
  • Every result in our Florida database this fall goes in. Each runner keeps the best race they have run, put on the New World scale using the runners who raced both courses, plus last year's New World-to-State gap (boys 36.4 seconds, girls 27.2, from 2025 New World and State results on TFRRS).
  • Each district is run as one race with every assigned school, scored the normal way: top five score, the sixth and seventh can push other teams back.
  • Runners and teams on our latest statewide and class lists keep that order. Head-to-head results since September decide the rest, with the most recent meeting standing. For teams, a meeting counts only when both teams had at least four of their top five there.
  • Roy Griak is left out. Only 2026 races count.

Every result is in the Florida XC results database, and you can build any race yourself in the simulator.
