Holy Trinity holds first in the Class 1A girls team rankings on its full-strength New World score, Oak Hall is second, and Maclay joins the ten.
Florida Class 1A girls cross country team rankings through nine weeks: August 21-October 17, 2026
Most of the state's best teams met at the New World Fall Spectacular in Jacksonville on Saturday, the deepest meet of the Florida season so far. Where two teams met there, that result orders them. Some teams were missing a top runner, so we also scored the race as if every team had its full top five, the same way our statewide lists did, and that full-strength result is the one we use. How we placed the missing runners is at the bottom.
Oak Hall beat Holy Trinity at New World, 524 to 589, 18th and 19th in the Girls Elite race. But Holy Trinity ran without Kelly Geraghty, its No. 2. With her placed at 19:06, slower than her season says she runs, Holy Trinity scores 422 to Oak Hall's 547, so it holds first and Oak Hall second. Taylor Geraghty was 20th in 18:28.
All Saints' was 21st with 659, Charlotte Roy 11th in 18:00, and stays ahead of Westminster Academy, which it beat there. Cornerstone Classical ran New World with only two of its top seven, so that race does not count for or against it.
A team is ranked on its whole season, with the most recent race counting most, and a meet it won never counts against it. A team that sat out the weekend is not marked down for it. The virtual race behind these scores contains only Class 1A teams, so a team's place here and on the statewide list can differ. As always, this is data plus judgment, and we will miss somebody along the way. A (P) beside a team means it has not put its returning five on a starting line and is entered on what they ran last November. How we sorted it out is at the bottom.
About the times. The average on each line is the converted season figure the scoring uses, in Cecil Field terms, and so are the times beside each runner's name. Times in the write-ups are what the kids actually ran that day; the race log for every runner is on the rankings page.

Just missed
Seacoast Collegiate (Santa Rosa Beach), tenth last week, was 44th at New World with 1074, behind Maclay, and is 11th; it won Walton County Home Meet 1 on Tuesday. Southwest Florida Christian (Fort Myers) was third at Lee County Under The Lights on Friday with 114, Ayla Tobias 16th in 21:23.8, and is 12th. Lakeland Christian, with Emma Wilkinson, won the ROC Weekend Run on Saturday and is 13th.
Where the virtual race disagrees with this list
- Maclay over Seacoast Collegiate: 904 to 1127 at the New World Fall Spectacular, scored at full strength.
- Westminster Academy over Cornerstone Classical: Cornerstone ran New World with two of its top seven, so the meeting does not count, and its 11-point edge on the figure is not enough to pass a team that holds its place.
- All Saints' over Westminster Academy: All Saints' beat Westminster at New World, on the day and at full strength.

How we ranked them
- Every mark is converted to a Cecil Field equivalent through the runners who ran both that course and last year's state meet.
- Each runner is scored on her whole season, weighted toward the most recent race: this week counts nine times, last week eight, and so on back to opening weekend, which counts once. A race she won never lowers that figure, and a meet a team won never lowers the team's. A school's five best runners on that basis are its team.
- Those five, with a sixth and seventh where they exist, go into one virtual race against every other Class 1A team, scored the way cross country is scored. 88 1A girls teams cleared the bar; 2 of them are projections. Points climb as more teams enter and are not comparable to last week's; compare the order.
- Where two teams in this class have raced each other with at least three of their scoring seven, the team that won ranks ahead of the team it beat until they meet again. Where results go round in a circle, the newest meeting decides. A race run without a team's No. 1 or without two of its scoring five is not held against it.
- Results from September 12 and earlier no longer order teams. The times still count in the figures.
- New World is read at full strength, the same way as on the statewide list: for every Florida team there missing one of its season top five, we put the missing runner back at her season figure converted to the New World course, added 19 seconds to be conservative, and re-scored the whole race. Those added times are estimates, not results.
- These lists follow the statewide team list: a team ranked on it is ahead of every team in its class that is not, and teams on both lists are in the same order. A team that did not race this weekend holds its place.
- A team whose returning five have not raced is entered on last November's state times and marked (P).
- Classes are 2026-27, resolved against the FHSAA classification documents.
- Holy Trinity, All Saints' and Westminster Academy are ranked on their full-strength New World scores: Kelly Geraghty went in at 19:06, Julia Marra Andrade at 21:46 and Avery Carvell at 20:36.
- A team only counts as having raced when at least three of its season top seven ran; Cornerstone had two at New World.
- Community School, Indian Rocks Christian and Foundation Academy did not race and hold their places.
Every result behind this list is in the rankings section, and the full weekend is in the weekend recap.
