What is Florida Race Day?
Florida Race Day is a family-owned race timing and race organizing company based in St. Augustine. It times and organizes more than a hundred events a year, from one-mile fun runs to ultramarathons, plus cycling, triathlon, duathlon and cross country, using Race Result chip hardware with live results on RunSignUp. Most of its races are in Northeast and Central Florida.
Florida Race Day is the timer behind many of the First Coast charity 5Ks and holiday runs: the First Coast Turkey Trot in Ponte Vedra, the Black Friday Run Off the Turkey in St. Augustine, the Boos and Brews 5K in Jacksonville and the Clay County Veterans Day 5K in Orange Park, with races reaching Orlando, Naples, The Villages and the Panhandle.
The company does both the organizing and the timing. It uses Race Result chip hardware, publishes live results through RunSignUp and reports that the events it supports raise more than $700,000 a year for their causes.
