The 2026 Terry Long FSU Relays ran Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28 at Mike Long Track on the Florida State campus in Tallahassee. College teams raced March 26 and 27, and the high school meet followed March 27 and 28. Admission and parking were free. Florida State has not announced 2027 dates yet.

Two meets: college and high school
The FSU Relays is really two meets. The college meet comes first. In 2026 it opened on Thursday, March 26 with field events in the afternoon (Florida State's first was the men's hammer at 3 p.m.), then an evening running session that started with the women's 4x100 at 6:05 p.m. and closed with the 5,000 meters at 7 p.m. Friday was the second college day.
The high school meet, listed on TFRRS as FSU Relays (High Schools), overlapped on Friday and finished Saturday, March 28. In 2026 it drew 227 high school teams, most from Florida plus schools from Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana such as Albertville, Biloxi and Brother Martin. Who is Terry Long?
Florida State renamed its home relays for Terry Long in 2025. Long ran for the Seminoles from 1959 to 1963 and set school records in the 220 low hurdles and 120 high hurdles. As FSU's head coach from 1988 to 2003 he coached 10 Metro or ACC championship teams, nine Olympians and 82 All-America performances, and he went into the FSU Hall of Fame in 2005.
Mike Long Track also hosts Florida State's second home meet, the Dick Roberts Seminole Invitational, which ran April 10-11, 2026.
