About This Event
The Shore to Shorecrest 5K is an annual community event that symbolizes the journey from the past to the present. The original Shorecrest Outdoor School was founded in 1923 and is approximately 3.1 miles from our current campus, established in 1967. The event aims to bring the community together to celebrate the Chargers spirit in the Tampa Bay Area.
This is a point-to-point race:
- Start: Flora Wylie Park, 1400 N Shore Dr NE Saint Petersburg, FL US 33704
- Finish: Shorecrest Campus, 5101 1st St NE, St Petersburg, FL 33703
Should you register after October 2nd, 2026, we cannot guarantee you will receive your preferred t-shirt size. Event organizers will do the best we can to accommodate last minute requests
Packet Pickup:
Please plan to pick up your packet from the Shorecrest Athletic Center: Jacobson Lobby during one of the following two options:
- Wednesday, November 4th, 3:30-6:30pm
- Thursday, November 5th, 3:30-6:30pm
*Participants under 18 years of age must have an adult present to pick up their packets. *
Event Day Information:
There will be NO shuttle service provided during this year's event
- **Parking at the Start Line: **Participants are encouraged to head to the start line in advance of the event start time. There will be limited parking spots available on a first come, first served basis at North Shore Park Parking Lot, as well as the North Shore Aquatic Complex along North Shore Drive NE. Due to limited parking we highly encourage ride-sharing and carpooling to ensure a convenient experience for everyone.
- A coffee vendor will be on site with tasty beverages available for purchase while you wait for a warm up lead by The Athleticus.
- Parking at Shorecrest: Complimentary, on-campus parking will be limited to the First Street lot and Junior parking lot. Weather permitting, Event Parking will also be available for use. Due to limited parking we highly encourage ride-sharing and carpooling to ensure a convenient experience for everyone. *Parking instructions will be shared with participants in advance of the event - please note there will be no shuttle service to the start line during this year's event. everyone. *
- Event Start Time: The event will begin promptly at 8am. Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive at the starting line by 7:15am.
- Strollers / Wheelchairs: Strollers and wheelchair participants are welcome and encouraged.
- Pets & Bicycles: Pets, bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, wagons and similar wheeled items are not permitted on the course or campus for the safety of all participants.
**The Sparky Sprint: (Children 8 Years and Younger) **
Please arrive on campus by 8:30am for Sparky Sprint participants. Children should meet at the Sparky Sprint start line at 9:15am, where we will group them by grade level (e.g., Alpha, JK, First Grade, etc.) Look for the start flag and Sparky Sprint signage at the beginning of the Lower School Carline. (Note this is a separate registration from the 5k.)
Post-Event Celebration:
After the 5k stay for breakfast, the Sparky Sprint and a Wellness Village. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate your achievement and connect with fellow participants!
Located on the Gaffney Green outside of Charger Commons, the Wellness Village will be open from 8:30-11am. Families are welcome to enjoy complimentary coffee and breakfast as well as entertainment from various vendors. All participants and spectators are welcome!
