Next up: Andrew LaHayne (Harmony Middle School, 8th grade), 10:42.8 at Jim Ryun (10:05.0), fourth at the Horse Park ahead of Cardoso and Claypool, then second to Cardoso at the JT Memorial; Elliot Lasota (No Excuses RC, 7th grade), 8:55 for 2.5K to win Cecil Field (10:04.0), his only race; Maxwell Claypool (WIND Runners, 8th grade), second to Schulte at North Port in 10:17.5 (his Jim Ryun run projects 9:58.7), below LaHayne on their Horse Park result. Noah Chandler (Tampa Bay HEAT) won the Stampede Sprint middle school race by 13.2 seconds, and Gabriel Garback (Tavares, 7th grade) won Oak Park in 10:28.3.
#8 — Middle School Boys 2026 Week 5 · 10:44.0 for two miles at the JT Memorial (projects 9:53.9)
Did not race. Won the JT Memorial two-mile in 10:44.0 on September 11, worth about 9:58 for 3K on the clock, and was fifth at the Horse Park in 10:14.7. Sixth on figure, eighth here because Jobe beat him at the Horse Park and Jopling sits with Jobe.

Won the JT Memorial middle school two-mile on Friday night in 10:44.0, nineteen seconds ahead of LaHayne, a run worth about 9:58 for 3K on the clock and 9:54.9 in November terms. Fifth at the Horse Park in 10:14.7 a week earlier. Sixth a week ago, eighth now with Jopling going in above him, but the run itself is the second-best of the season by anybody on this list.
#6 — Middle School Boys 2026 Week 3 · 10:14.7 (projects 10:19.7)
First race of the year, fifth at the Horse Park, and his 10:14.7 was within a second of the 10:14.1 he ran at state last fall for the Soldier City Striders, 13th in the club race. He beat Matyka by two seconds and Claypool by eight. He was sitting on a seed last week. He is sitting on a result now, and it holds up.
