Isaiah Howdeshell

Did not race. Third at Cecil Field in 15:20.0 on opening night, then wins at Parker Valby in 16:05.8 and Seffner Christian in 16:07.2, neither held against him. He beat Michalak, Kiros, Hagen, Aguilar and Johnson at Cecil Field, and the only 3A boy who has beaten him is Cruz. Fourth, behind Michalak, on the call explained above; the rule alone would have him third, and it will again the moment he runs against Michalak and wins.

Did not race. Third at Cecil Field in 15:20.0, then wins at Parker Valby and Seffner Christian. Thompson beat him on August 21 and they have not met since. He beat Michalak, Cunningham and Olson at Cecil Field and is ranked behind Michalak on a call explained above.

Won Seffner Christian out of 332 in 16:07.2, 15 seconds ahead of Landon Watkins of Sickles, on a course that reads 16 seconds slow, worth 15:51. Left out, like the Parker Valby win, because a win never lowers a runner's figure; 15:20.0 for third in the Cecil Field elite race is still the run that ranks him. Largo dropped to 3A this year, so he is in November's race with both Belen seniors.

Won the Seffner Christian XC Invitational out of 332 in 16:07.2, 15 seconds ahead of Landon Watkins of Sickles 4A, on a course that reads about 16 seconds slow, worth 15:51 leveled. It is left out of his figure, like the Parker Valby win, because a win never lowers a runner's figure, and 15:20.0 for third in the elite race at Cecil Field is still the run that ranks him. Largo dropped to 3A this year, which puts him in November's race with both Belen seniors. Fifth to sixth: Thompson beat him by four seconds at Cecil Field and they have not met since.

Won the Parker Valby Invitational out of 134 in 16:05.8, 17 seconds clear of East Lake's Truman Houk. Parker Valby is a quick course, so the clock there says less than the win does, and a win never counts against a runner here. He is ranked on his 15:20.0 from Cecil Field, third in the elite race and still the fourth-fastest raw time by a Florida boy this season. Largo dropped from 4A this year, which puts him in November's race with both Belen seniors.

Raced for the first time since opening night and won the Parker Valby Invitational out of 134 in 16:05.8, 17 seconds clear of East Lake's Truman Houk. Parker Valby is a quick course, quick enough that the clock there says less than the win does, and a win never counts against a runner on this list. He is ranked on the 15:20.0 from Cecil Field, third in the elite race and still the fourth-fastest raw time by a Florida boy this fall. What Saturday did was answer the only question about him, whether he would race at all. Largo dropped from 4A to 3A this year. He shares a class with both Belen seniors now.

One race, one very good one: 15:20.0 for third at Cecil, 41 seconds up on his state time. Still the best of the reclassification arrivals, still unraced since, and still the boy standing between Belen and a clean sweep of the front of this class come November.

Third at Cecil in 15:20.0, 41.2 seconds up on his 16:01.2 at state, and he did not race again. The reclassification is still the story underneath the time: Largo drops from 4A to 3A, which puts him in a postseason bracket with both Belen Jesuit runners.

The biggest arrival in 3A and it came through reclassification. Howdeshell was 14th in 4A at state in 16:01.2. He is 3A now, and he ran 15:20.0 for third in the Cecil Elite race behind Cruz and Thompson — a 42-second improvement in November terms, against the best field in the state.

That is the fourth-fastest converted time by any Florida boy this weekend, behind Cruz, Quentin Thompson and Jaxon Kiper of Strawberry Crest, who is 4A. Largo does not field a ranked team in 3A, so he is running alone, and on this evidence he is the one runner outside Belen who can be in the same race as Cruz and Mantecon in November.

Third at Cecil Field in 15:20, 41.2 seconds faster than his state run. The reclassification matters as much as the time: Largo moves from 4A to 3A for 2026-27, which drops Howdeshell into the same postseason bracket as both Belen Jesuit runners. He was our ninth-ranked returner. He is comfortably better than that now.
