50th Annual Sandy Claws Beach Run

Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, in partnership with presenting sponsor New Balance University, proudly hosts the 50th Annual Sandy Claws Beach Run, a longtime tradition in Sarasota's running community. Set a fast pace across the hard-packed, world-renowned sand of Siesta Beach in the chip-timed 5K, sanctioned by the Manasota Track Club and part of the MTC Race Series, or enjoy a leisurely morning stroll along the shore in the 1-mile fun run.

Participants can also enjoy:

• Finisher medals for all participants (5K, 1-Mile and Virtual)
• Custom awards for first through sixth place finishers in all 5K age categories
• Music, food and raffle prizes
• A holiday-themed costume contest featuring the categories: Oldest Sandy Claws Shirt, Best '70s Costume, Most Festive Holiday Outfit,
• Best Duo Costume and Best Family/Group Costume

Register by Nov. 20 before the price increase to receive a long-sleeve performance event shirt and runner goodies (no-shows forfeit these items). Participants who register on Nov. 21 or later, including race day, will receive an event shirt and runner goodies while supplies last.

A special 5K Family 4-Pack registration discount is available for groups of four. Select the multi-person pricing option during registration for the discount to apply.
