Healthy Selfie 5K Your Way!

Get your steps in and smile on! We’re celebrating 10 YEARS of Healthy Selfie 5K!  Healthy Selfie 5K Your Way has both a virtual and in-person option, so you can crush 3.1 miles in your own way, on your own time, or with a community group!     **Virtual 5K Option: ** Here’s how a virtual 5K works: register first, then complete 3.1 miles at your own pace, wherever you like, whenever you like from September 1-30. Bike the West Orange Trail, hike at Oakland Nature Preserve, rollerblade around your neighborhood, it all counts. If you want to break it up into smaller segments, go for it!   No need to track your miles – we go by the honor system and are just here to encourage you to get moving. We always love when folks send in their finish line photos when they complete their 5K virtually!     **In-Person 5K Option: ** Want to complete your 3.1 miles in-person with an awesome group? Join us on September 12 at 8:30am at Orange Technical College West Campus to walk or run a 5K as a community. All ages and mobility levels are welcome!  Address: Orange Technical College West Campus: 2010 Ocoee Apopka Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761  In-Person 5K Schedule:  7:30am – Sign-in  8:15am – Warm-ups  8:30am – Ready, set, GO!    **5K Prize Info: ** In-Person 5K T-shirts and Medals:  This year, 5K T-shirts will be handed out first come, first served at the In-Person 5K on September 12 starting at 7:30am. Specific sizes are not able to be reserved/ guaranteed, as there are limited quantities. Medals will be distributed to participants at the finish line!  Virtual 5K T-shirts:   T-shirt pickup for virtual participants will take place on Thursday, October 1 from 4pm to 7pm at the Healthy West Orange Building at 1200 E Plant St, Winter Garden. It is first come, first served, with limited quantities, and specific sizes are not guaranteed. We are unfortunately unable to guarantee new medals to virtual participants, however assorted medals from years past will be available at pickup.    **Enter our Photo Contest! ** P.S. Show us how you’re completing your 5K between September 1-30 and you could WIN a Prize Pack of 100s of dollars of gift cards (for things like theme parks, restaurants, groceries, and more) OR a 1-year Family Membership to the YMCA of Central Florida!
